Washers are essential for good gearbox operation in a replica. Combined with other washer thicknesses, you can set the gears in the gearbox well. If someone wants to handle gearbox shimming themselves, they should buy other thicknesses and watch a few good experts on YouTube. I watched and replaced them myself, and my AR got a new life after stock shimming. I recommend it.
