Vector Optics Continental 2-12x50 Hunting SFP Riflescope - Black
Riflescope with a VET‑10 BDC reticle in the second focal plane. It is equipped with magnification ranging from 2x to 12x and an objective lens with a diameter of 50 mm. Lower magnification provides a wider field of view, while higher magnification allows more precise observation of distant objects. The field of view at a distance of 100 m is 21-3.5 m.
The construction is based on a 30 mm tube made of lightweight and durable 6061-T6 aluminum. The black, matte housing is equipped with profiled rings and adjustment turrets that make operation easier. The set includes a mount designed for a Picatinny rail.
durable construction and Picatinny mount
The 6061-T6 aluminum tube is nitrogen-filled, which reduces the risk of fogging on the internal optical surfaces. The riflescope meets the requirements of IP67 protection class (complete protection against dust ingress and immersion in water for up to 30 minutes at a depth of up to 1 meter), and is also shock resistant up to 750 G.
The applied solutions support the performance of the optical system in changing conditions of use. The set includes a mount designed for a Picatinny rail, enabling the riflescope to be mounted on a compatible platform.
VET-10 BDC reticle in the second focal plane
The riflescope is equipped with a VET-10 BDC reticle placed in the second focal plane (SFP). In this design, the size of the reticle seen in the image remains constant when the magnification changes. Vertical and horizontal adjustments are made using the adjustment turrets. The value of a single click is 1/4 MOA, and the adjustment range on both axes is +/- 140 MOA. This allows precise changes to the point of aim within the available range.
The reticle is equipped with illumination with 6 brightness levels. The riflescope is powered by a CR2032 battery.
Optical system, FMC coatings
The objective lens with a diameter of 50 mm works with lenses coated with multilayer FMC (Fully Multi-Coated) coatings. The coatings on the optical surfaces support light transmission, specified at approximately 90%. An optical system configured this way allows the riflescope to be used across a wide magnification range.
The eye relief is 100 mm. The parallax is fixed at 91 m. This solution simplifies operation because the riflescope does not require separate parallax adjustment. The available diopter correction allows the reticle sharpness to be adjusted to the user's eyesight.
