Vector Optics Continental x8 3-24x56 SFP ED Rifle Scope - Black
Riflescope with adjustable magnification in the range of 3-24x and an objective lens with a diameter of 56 mm. The wide zoom range allows the image to be adjusted to the distance and observation conditions: at lower magnification the field of view is wider, while at higher magnification distant objects can be examined more closely.
The field of view is 13.67-1.71 m at 100 m. The exit pupil has a diameter of 8.5-2.3 mm, and the eye relief is 95 mm. Diopter correction in the range of from -3 to +2 makes it possible to adjust image sharpness to the user's eyesight. The riflescope is designed for mounting on a Picatinny rail.
Body and durability
The 30 mm tube is made of 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. Nitrogen filling reduces the risk of fogging on the internal optical surfaces. The construction meets the requirements of the IP67 protection class (it is dustproof and resistant to immersion in water to a depth of 1 meter for a maximum of 30 minutes). In addition, the model is shock-resistant up to 750 G.
VECON-CDM reticle and illumination
The riflescope is equipped with a VECON-CDM reticle positioned in the second focal plane (SFP). In this arrangement, the reticle size remains constant when the magnification changes. The illumination of the aiming point offers 11 adjustment levels, allowing its brightness to be adapted to the lighting conditions. Power is supplied by a CR2032 battery.
Optical system
The design uses LaREE lenses, ED (Extra Low Dispersion) low-dispersion glass elements, and VePRO FMC multilayer coatings. This set of solutions was designed to provide a bright and sharp image. The eyepiece diameter is 46 mm.
Adjustment and parallax
The adjustment turrets have a click value of 1/4 MIL, and the adjustment range is more than 80 MOA both vertically and horizontally. The turret is equipped with a lock and a reset function, which allows it to be set again relative to the selected reference point. The side knob enables parallax adjustment and image sharpness adjustment.
