Vector Optics Continental x8 Riflescope 6-48x56 ED - Black
The professional riflescope from the Continental x8 series has been designed for precise shooting at medium and long distances. The model features a variable magnification range of 6-48x and a large objective lens with a diameter of 56 mm. The sight uses a VCO-5 MIL reticle and a one-piece tube with a diameter of 30 mm. The set includes a mount intended for a Picatinny rail.
Optical system and parallax adjustment
The 56 mm objective lens works with an optical system based on ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass lenses, which ensure high sharpness, good colour reproduction and a detailed image. The multi-coated anti-reflective LaREE and VePRO FMC coatings reduce light reflections, providing light transmission at a level of 93%. The riflescope has a magnification range of from 6x to 48x. The field of view at a distance of 100 m is 6.8 m at the lowest magnification and 0.85 m at the highest, while the eye relief is 95 mm. The side parallax adjustment works in a range of from 10 yards to infinity, allowing precise adjustment of focus to the target distance. Dioptre correction in the range of from -3 to +2 allows the reticle image to be matched to the shooter's eyesight.
VCO-5 MIL reticle and adjustment turrets
The model is equipped with a VCO-5 MIL reticle placed in the second focal plane (SFP). Its size remains constant regardless of the selected magnification. Illumination with 11 brightness adjustment levels makes it easier to adjust reticle visibility to the prevailing lighting conditions. The illumination is powered by a single CR2032 battery. The exposed tactical turrets are equipped with a click value of 0.05 MIL. The adjustment range is 14 MIL vertically and 14 MIL horizontally, allowing precise corrections at long distances.
Body, resistance and mounting
The 30 mm tube is made of durable 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. The matte black surface reduces the formation of light reflections. The construction withstands recoil and shocks of up to 1000 G. The riflescope meets the requirements of the IP67 protection class, which means it is dustproof and resistant to immersion in water, and is also protected against fogging of the internal optical surfaces. The set includes mounting rings intended for a Picatinny standard rail.
