An aesthetic container that was originally created with matches in mind. I’m deducting one point because it lacks a place to strike matches, which I believe should be there.

A universal and very practical container. I use it for matches, but I more often put banknotes in it. Small in size, it fits very well in a pants pocket. I highly recommend it.

The Mil-Tec waterproof match container is an interesting and sensible solution to protect matches or kindling from moisture. The container is equipped with a protective seal, and inside there is also a small signaling mirror.

Mil-Tec waterproof match container - a nice box for matches, you need to add a striker and some cotton or other tinder. There is a mirror on the inside of the cap; can it be used as a signaling device? Time will tell.

The gasket does its job. We can't fit a traditional lighter inside. For loose matches, it's worth adding a striker protected by something (for example, a zip bag).

A Chinese copy of US Army containers. The container is airtight and protects matches and a piece of gauze used as kindling from moisture very well. The striker is, due to its small size, more of a curiosity than a real source for making fire.

A container that is airtight and strong enough to be used as a moisture guard. And not just matches will fit in it. Useful for matches but you can't ignite them as you'll need a "striker" for that. The striker on the side of the box contains red phosphorus, ground glass and a binder. Rubbing the match head on the side causes the temperature to rise to about 200°C and ignites the head (this is a result of a chemical reaction between phosphorus and potassium chlorate). Ordinary matches or even survival matches will not ignite from the flint at the bottom or from the container's surface. So, when buying matches, you should break off, cut out or somehow get the striker and put it inside the container—which I think is the best solution for carrying matches. Without a striker, the container is pretty much useless—just like the matches you can't light unless you have special matches where most surfaces could be used as a striker. Generally, I recommend the container, but just remember to put a striker inside.

It works, it's really waterproof. It has many, many other uses besides just matches... haha, the mirror cracked on me, but that's my fault. And the ferro rod either doesn't work or I don't know how to make sparks from it... but I didn't buy it for the ferro rod anyway, so it's a solid 4 stars.

Very nice product, not too big, not too small, so just right. Durable and low price for such a nice product, I recommend it 10/10. And the price on sale is so low it's hard not to buy a few.

A simple, screw-top container that I bought to keep several small items in one place. It fulfills its intended purpose and looks sufficiently aesthetic while doing so.

Simple but effective. A container with an ordinary gasket, but it's waterproof (I checked). Not just for matches—it works great for cash too.

It's small, but you can come up with so many uses—not just for matches. I checked its waterproofness, and it passed the submersion test in water. For this price, I really recommend it as a good and proven stash for small items or cash. After testing the first one, I bought another seven.

For me, it's a container for a Bic mini lighter and a bit of cash just in case. It would be nice to have an eyelet for a carabiner, but at this price, it would be silly to complain. I recommend it as a waterproof box for any organizer.

A good container that can be used to store a small fire-starting kit. Alternatively, it can hold other small items. Plus, there's a mirror in the lid.

Many small things—not just matches, but for example, sewing needles, safety pins, etc.—can be secured in such a tightly screwed container, especially for trips by water or land.
