Great sunglasses that work well for sports, driving, and even on a boat or while cycling. They also protect your eyes from the sides, and the blue Captivate lenses provide a very clear image. I found them at the best price at Military EU, so the decision to purchase was easy.
Wiley X Gravity Tactical Glasses - Captivate Polarized Blue/Black Crystal
Lightweight, comfortable tactical eyewear with an ergonomic fit. The lenses offer mechanical strength designed to shield the eyes from shrapnel, ricocheting debris, and other airborne hazards. Compliance with class F standards ensures protection against projectiles up to 0.86 g in weight traveling at 45 m/s.
Wiley X ranks among the top providers of eye protection for the United States military, professional athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts.
Frames made of Triloid material
Triloid nylon sculpted frames and shatterproof Selenite polycarbonate lenses comply with ANSI Z87.1+ and EN166 F ballistic protection standards. Frame design guarantees excellent fit without sacrificing comfort, even when wearing headphones or hearing protection. Non-slip rubber temples and nose pads ensure the glasses remain securely positioned during use. The removable Facial Cavity Seal offers a close fit to the face, delivering enhanced protection against wind, dust, and other environmental elements.
polycarbonate lenses with T-shell coating and Captivate technology
Equipped with lenses allowing only 11% light transmission and a CAPTIVATE polarization filter integrated between the lens layers, these glasses channel light in a single plane under sunny conditions, effectively eliminating intense sunlight glare, intensifying visual brightness, and boosting depth perception. The wearer’s eyes are shielded from harmful UVA and UVB radiation as well as HEV (blue light). During overcast or rainy weather, these lenses enhance contrast of objects, ensure noticeably better image quality, and deliver uncompromising clarity for maximum visual comfort. Such eyewear is highly suitable for drivers, skiers, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts.
A special anti-reflective coating eliminates disruptive reflections by preventing stray rays from being reflected into the eyes, thus maintaining a true image and reducing eye fatigue for a sharper field of view compared to standard Captivate lenses. Robust T-Shell Scratch protection resists abrasions on the lenses. Meanwhile, the oleophobic layer repels dust, dirt, oil, water, and snow, keeping the lenses clean.

The HEV (High Energy Visible) filter provides protection from harmful blue light emitted by computer screens, smartphones and sunlight. The HEV filter in the glasses increases overall visual comfort and protects eye health.
T-Shell is a coating on Wiley X glasses that resists scratches, protects lenses from damage and extends their life.
Facial Cavity is a cap that provides protection from the elements and excessive sidelight. With soft foam seals, the glasses block dust, pollen and wind, preventing eye irritation. They eliminate peripheral light, which improves optical clarity.
Captivate lens technology is an advanced filter system used in sunglasses that aims to improve the quality of vision by filtering out harmful light and improving color perception and contrast.
The Oleophobic coating repels dirt, oil, water and other substances, so the lenses stay cleaner and easier to maintain. The technology makes the lenses more durable and comfortable to wear.
EN166F is the European standard for protection against the impact of accelerated objects (Medium Energy Impact). Class F mechanical strength means that, according to the standard, the frame and visors of the glasses will withstand the impact of a steel BBs with a diameter of 6 mm and a weight of 0.86 g, traveling at 45 m/s (162 km/h).

Excellent black sunglasses from Wiley X. I particularly like the Gravity series because it guarantees durability and an attractive appearance. The option to change the lenses yourself is a really huge advantage! This is a product I definitely recommend!

Nice, comfortable and durable glasses that provide a very nice image. Bought for knife fighting training as well as outdoor activities, they serve their purpose. They stay well on the head, do not fall off or pinch. I recommend them.

In general, I haven’t used them yet. After getting to know them initially, I can immediately say that the lenses are amazing. They provide pleasantly accurate color reproduction and proper sharpness, even when looking at a monitor. Compared to older glasses I bought a few years ago with lenses from the same company, there is a noticeable improvement in quality. As for the frames themselves, nice matte color. Short temples. They won’t suit everyone, but there’s an option to secure them with a strap. The glasses sit well on the head, but it seems that the strap might be useful for extra security, especially when you attach the anti-fog and anti-dust insert. Especially if someone puts these glasses on for motorcycle or bicycle rides. Overall, I recommend them. But only for a small or medium head. For a large head, I’d choose a different model, but with the lenses used here.

My old Oakley glasses are quite decent, but they’re already a good few years old. I’ve gotten somewhat bored with them, and under the pretext that they don’t look so nice anymore, they're somewhat scratched and generally out of fashion—here I smile significantly—I decided to look for some sort of replacement. The goal was to find durable sunglasses, suitable for any situation and terrain, which have polarized lenses and are well-covered from the sides to minimize distracting side glare while driving. And I must admit, when I tried on the Wiley X Gravity glasses with Captivate Polarized Grey lenses for the first time, I was stunned. It was a beautiful, sunny day. I took off my old specs and put on these Wiley's. The image was razor-sharp, a smile spread across my face, and my jaw dropped in amazement! The sky was beautifully blue, with lighter or darker clouds here and there. Here, Oakleys don't fall that far behind. But the detail visible on the ground, the quality of the trees, even single leaves, was absolutely stunning. The image so vivid, so sharp, so clearly three-dimensional that my several-year-old Oakleys didn’t stand a chance. And it’s not because they were very scratched or dirty, because they weren’t. A few years’ difference in manufacturing caused such a major leap in lens-making and coating technology that you notice it within a second of putting on these new Wiley glasses. Unfortunately, I have a big head and, even though I really like their fit, they’re a bit too tight for me (interested buyers should pay attention to the glasses’ size!), they slide off my nose, and with the Facial Cavity Seal fitted, they don’t sit snugly against my face. I don’t know how much of that is a bad design and how much is my face shape, but I do know one thing—I put the Gravity glasses in a locker and today I’m picking up another, bigger pair of Wiley’s, definitely with Captivate Polarized Grey lenses, and I’m not even waiting for the refund from the store because I want to enjoy them over the long weekend.
