Za-Pas Biwi BW10 Micarta Satin Fixed Blade Knife - Brown

Knife designed with a Full-Tang structure and a fixed blade, featuring a Drop-Point blade shape, crafted from 1.4116S stainless steel known for its excellent corrosion resistance. Its robust construction and streamlined design make it ideal for a variety of uses, including everyday tasks, outdoor adventures, and demanding field operations.

hardened 1.4116S stainless steel

Precision-crafted from premium 1.4116S stainless steel, the knife blade boasts a hardened structure reaching 59-61 HRC on the hardness scale. Renowned for its exceptional corrosion resistance, this material ensures lasting durability. A satin finish is applied to the blade, resulting in a refined semi-matte appearance.

blade with a Drop-point profile, flat grind

Equipped with a blade featuring a Drop-Point design, this knife offers a smooth cutting edge and measures 100 mm in length. The blade is forged with a flat grind. A single-sided cross guard delivers enhanced protection and stability while operating the tool.

With a well-balanced blade, handling is optimized for superior control. Even weight distribution between the blade and handle achieves greater cutting accuracy and minimizes hand fatigue, even during extended periods of use.

Handle scales made of Micarta

Ergonomically shaped handle scales are crafted from lightweight and robust Micarta in a brown finish. The textured surface of the scales provides a reliable and secure grip during knife use. A lanyard hole is integrated at the end of the handle, making it easy to attach a securing cord.

sheath included

A sturdy sheath crafted from lightweight yet highly durable Kydex enables secure and practical knife attachment to a belt. Multiple mounting holes feature a well-designed layout, making the sheath compatible with a Tek-Lok style mount.

1.4116S feature
1.4116S
1.4116S (commercial equivalent of 14C28N steel) is a stainless steel with good hardness and corrosion resistance, belonging to the martensitic steel group. It contains approximately 0.45-0.55% carbon, which gives it a hardness of 55-58 HRC after appropriate heat treatment, as well as relatively good abrasion resistance. The chromium content of 14-15% ensures very good resistance to rust and oxidation. Additionally, it contains manganese (0.6%), silicon (0.2%) and a small amount of phosphorus and sulfur. 1.4116S is valued for its ease of sharpening and maintenance, as well as for its relatively good balance between hardness, corrosion resistance, and edge durability, making it suitable for the production of medium-hardness knives, kitchen knives, and tools.
Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
Micarta feature
Micarta
Micarta is a composite material made of layers of fabric (including canvas, linen, and paper) soaked in resin and pressed under high pressure and temperature. It is characterized by high mechanical strength, resistance to impact, abrasion, and changing weather conditions, as well as dimensional stability, which makes it ideal for knife handles. The surface of Micarta provides a secure grip and can be finished smooth or left with a slight texture to improve control over the tool. The material does not conduct heat or electricity, tolerates contact with moisture well, and acquires a characteristic patina over time, emphasizing the individual style of the knife. Thanks to its combination of durability, environmental resistance, and unique appearance, Micarta is widely used in EDC, outdoor, and collector's knives.
