Za-Pas Biwi BW10 G10 Stonewash Fixed Blade Knife - Black

Featuring a Full-Tang build, this knife offers a robust fixed blade with a Drop-Point profile, made from corrosion-resistant 1.4116S stainless steel. The sturdy construction and streamlined design ensure adaptability for a broad spectrum of uses—from everyday carry and outdoor adventures to demanding field operations.

hardened 1.4116S stainless steel and Stonewash coating

The knife blade is crafted from premium 1.4116S stainless steel, heat-treated to achieve a hardness rating of 59-61 HRC. Renowned for its superior corrosion resistance, this material ensures durability even in demanding conditions. A Stonewash finish is applied to the blade, delivering enhanced scratch resistance and providing the steel with a muted, non-reflective, and uniquely textured appearance that skillfully conceals wear marks from regular use.

blade with a Drop-point profile, flat grind, proper balance

Equipped with a Drop-Point style blade, this model offers a smooth cutting edge and a blade length of 100 mm. A flat grind ensures the edge is sharp and efficient. The inclusion of a single-sided cross guard enhances both protection and stability during operation.

An expertly engineered balance of the blade delivers superior knife control. Equal weight distribution between blade and handle provides greater cutting precision and helps to minimize hand fatigue during extended use.

handle scales made from durable g10 laminate

A handle crafted in an ergonomic shape utilizes tough G10 laminate in a black finish. Designed to withstand moisture, extreme temperatures, and exposure to most acids and solvents, the material also ensures exceptional resistance to mechanical stress.

A textured scale surface ensures a firm and safe hold throughout knife operation.

sheath included

The set comes with a robust sheath crafted from Kydex, a material known for being both lightweight and highly durable, providing an efficient way to carry the knife on your belt. Multiple mounting holes, strategically positioned, enable compatibility with a Tek-Lok style attachment.

1.4116S feature
1.4116S
1.4116S (commercial equivalent of 14C28N steel) is a stainless steel with good hardness and corrosion resistance, belonging to the martensitic steel group. It contains approximately 0.45-0.55% carbon, which gives it a hardness of 55-58 HRC after appropriate heat treatment, as well as relatively good abrasion resistance. The chromium content of 14-15% ensures very good resistance to rust and oxidation. Additionally, it contains manganese (0.6%), silicon (0.2%) and a small amount of phosphorus and sulfur. 1.4116S is valued for its ease of sharpening and maintenance, as well as for its relatively good balance between hardness, corrosion resistance, and edge durability, making it suitable for the production of medium-hardness knives, kitchen knives, and tools.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
