Therefore, when buying, it is worth choosing T-shirt sizes that will meet all these criteria.
Differences in T-shirt sizes depending on the country of origin
Surely you have encountered more than once a situation where the sizes of T-shirts differed from one brand or model of T-shirt to another. Unfortunately, there are no universal sizes. Each manufacturer produces clothing according to their own designs and measurements. Some models are designed to be tighter and others to be looser. In addition, size of clothes often depends on where the clothing is manufactured, because it is based on average body sizes found in a given latitude. Know your measurements
Wanting to correctly use the T-shirt size charts posted on product pages, you first need to know the dimensions of your own body. You can use a tape measure or string to take your measurements. Measure the chest, hips and waist measurement one by one.

Chest measurement - The tape measure should be run under the armpits, at the widest part of the chest (at the most convex point).
Waist measurement -The waist is measured by running the tape measure around its narrowest part.

Note: Measurements with a tailor's centimeter should be taken in underwear or naked. When measuring, do not press the tape measure too hard against the body, it should be loose.
How to measure a T-shirt?

Here are some practical hints and tips that may be useful when taking home measurements and choosing the size T-shirts.

The sleeve of a T-shirt should not reach further than halfway to the arm. It should also not fit too tightly to the body.

When measuring a T-shirt at home, lay it out on a flat surface, such as the floor or a table. This will minimize the risk of error and allow for a more accurate measurement. Pay attention not to measure clothes that are too stretched out.

When measuring T-shirts with an elongated back, consider the shorter dimension measured from the front.

To get the chest or waist measurement of a T-shirt, multiply the resulting width times two.

For sizes of T-shirts and long-sleeved shirts, the values of the chest measurement and waist are the most important. Go with the value that is larger in your case first. .

When choosing the size of sports and thermal T-shirts, keep in mind that they have a fitted cut and work properly when they adhere to the body. It is better in this case to choose a model a little tighter than too loose.
What should you pay special attention to in the size charts?

It is worth mentioning that the size charts of men's and women's T-shirts differ. This is mainly due to differences in the construction of our bodies. For women, the chest and hip measurement will be more important, and for men - the waist measurement.
In the case of the size chart for men's T-shirts, the main thing to consider is the width at the chest. If you have previously measured the chest measurement and do not have the width - divide the measurement value by two. Note that the actual dimensions of the T-shirt may differ by 2-2,5 cm from the values given in the size chart.
Sizes of women's T-shirts that are most often given in size chart include chest width, waist width, overall length and hip width. In this case, too, it should be noted that the dimensions of the T-shirt may differ by 2-2,5 cm.
