When someone is shooting, you can’t talk because they block everything, but your head doesn’t hurt, which happened to me with the popular but, in my opinion, totally mismatched Sport Impacts.

Power is supplied by two AAA batteries housed in a single ear cup. A built-in power-saving function automatically switches the device off following two hours of inactivity. Memory for previous volume settings is retained, and a battery replacement indicator is included. Continuous operation time on one battery set can reach up to 600 hours.

Best in their class, the batteries last 300 hours and it's true. I'm often at the range and competitions and haven't changed the batteries in two years.

I have been using Peltor SportTac headphones for 1.5 years at the shooting range. They work perfectly; thanks to the noise reduction system, you don't have to take them off every now and then to communicate normally at the range, which also makes it safer, because in case of danger you'll hear commands better. I haven't changed the batteries yet, very low energy consumption, which is a big plus. It's also possible to connect an external audio source, e.g., from a radio or phone.
