The gas-powered replica of the HK417 assault rifle is constructed almost entirely from metal. Metal components include the receiver, barrel, magazine, foregrip, and stock guide, while the pistol grip and stock are manufactured from high-quality plastic. Produced under license from the creator of the live firearm, this carbine carries authentic Heckler&Koch markings.
The HK417 D is equipped with a 22mm top RIS rail for mounting optics, in addition to RIS rails on the handguard for attaching tactical accessories. The mechanical sights—featuring a dual-plane adjustable rear sight and a front "bow tie" post—are installed on the top rail.
Featuring an adjustable stock finished with a non-slip textured buttplate, the length of the replica can be tailored to the user's physique and personal preference. The flash hider is mounted on a 14 mm counter-clockwise thread, allowing the installation of a sound suppressor if desired. Further enhancements include a select fire switch and a fully operational bolt catch.
Outfitted with a Gas Blow Back system, the bolt assembly cycles realistically, locking to the rear after the final shot just as in the live version. The replica is capable of both semi-automatic and fully automatic fire.
HK417 runs on green gas, with the gas stored in a Real-cap magazine that accommodates 20 rounds. A full charge delivers a muzzle velocity of 330 FPS.
