Badger Outdoor US Army Military Grade Entrenching Tool - Olive

Folding shovel inspired by tools employed by the United States armed forces and various NATO military units. Constructed with components made from aluminum and steel, the shovel boasts exceptional durability while remaining lightweight. Compact dimensions ensure suitability for camping, survival missions, metal detecting expeditions, or as an emergency snow shovel stowed in a vehicle trunk.

The blade is crafted from 65 Mn hardened steel (42-46 HRC), while the handle is made from toughened 6061 aluminum (46-49 HRC), featuring a 1.5 mm wall thickness and 25 mm diameter. Equipped with a steel insert and a stainless steel spring, the handle ensures rapid and reliable deployment.

The shovel features a mechanism that allows it to be locked in a semi-closed position, enabling use as a pick or hoe. A reinforced aluminum locking ring is located on the handle, fitted with a steel baffle inside to block the entry of dirt and soil. The blade boasts sharp edges for effortless digging in tough or frozen ground, and two edges are additionally fitted with a saw.

Equipped with a snap-on EVA copolymer pouch, the set enables secure attachment of the shovel to a belt, backpack, or additional gear, ensuring convenient and safe portability as well as immediate accessibility when necessary.
