I didn’t think it would come in handy on the road so soon. True, it’s small and you’ve got to put in some effort to use it (after all, it’s a folding shovel, not a regular one), but thanks to it I managed to free my car from a snowdrift. If it handled frozen snow, it will definitely serve its purpose perfectly in spring during camping trips.
Badger Outdoor US Army Military Grade Entrenching Tool - Olive
Folding shovel inspired by tools employed by the United States armed forces and various NATO military units. Constructed with components made from aluminum and steel, the shovel boasts exceptional durability while remaining lightweight. Compact dimensions ensure suitability for camping, survival missions, metal detecting expeditions, or as an emergency snow shovel stowed in a vehicle trunk.
Durable steel blade, 6061 aluminum handle
The blade is crafted from 65 Mn hardened steel (42-46 HRC), while the handle is made from toughened 6061 aluminum (46-49 HRC), featuring a 1.5 mm wall thickness and 25 mm diameter. Equipped with a steel insert and a stainless steel spring, the handle ensures rapid and reliable deployment.
Practical locking function
The shovel features a mechanism that allows it to be locked in a semi-closed position, enabling use as a pick or hoe. A reinforced aluminum locking ring is located on the handle, fitted with a steel baffle inside to block the entry of dirt and soil. The blade boasts sharp edges for effortless digging in tough or frozen ground, and two edges are additionally fitted with a saw.
Set elements
Equipped with a snap-on EVA copolymer pouch, the set enables secure attachment of the shovel to a belt, backpack, or additional gear, ensuring convenient and safe portability as well as immediate accessibility when necessary.

The shovel was damaged after the first use in the field. In 'digger' mode, the handle at the attachment with the grip bent. It was made of steel that was too soft. The blade makes a good first impression, but unfortunately it's not suitable for serious work. + Very good and functional cover, + Ergonomic, + Digs well, - Handle is too weak - it bends

A nice shovel, handy and when folded it takes up little space. The included cover is very good. It's lighter on the belt than I expected. If I had it in high school, I wouldn't have bought a suit for my final exams, but would have dug it up in the cemetery.

A very decent tool, the part with the saw is perfect for cutting the outline in turf to quickly deal with growing grass. I honestly recommend it, though the screw for the latch of the copying part loosens a bit and needs occasional tightening, but it is not a deal breaker.
