The construction, featuring reinforced walls and an internal frame, creates a distinctive box-like shape that allows for full opening of the backpack when the zipper is undone. This design makes it much easier to organize equipment and ensures quick access to contents both in operational and outdoor conditions. The backpack is made of durable 500D polyamide with a double Rip-Stop weave and features an RFID layer placed between the outer fabric and the lining, increasing your security when traveling or operating in urban environments. The Pugio 28 model stands out with a detachable hip belt that can be stowed in a dedicated compartment at the bottom of the back panel.

The backpack is made from 500D Polyamide double Rip-Stop, known for its excellent resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. The use of a double Rip-Stop weave reinforces the structure of the fabric, minimizing the risk of tearing even during intensive use in tough terrain. Additionally, the material used for the backpack is lightweight and resistant to moisture and dirt.

The main compartment closes with a zipper that allows wide opening, ensuring convenient access to your gear. The interior is lined with Velcro panels, enabling modular organization of equipment and installation of compatible pouches and accessories. The boxy construction prevents the material from collapsing and makes gear management easier. Inside the main compartment, there’s a small zippered pocket. An extra safety feature is the RFID layer located between the outer fabric and the lining (excluding the front pocket). This technology limits the potential for unauthorised reading of contactless card data. The backpack has a front zippered pocket for organizing small items. The Pugio 28 model also offers two large side zippered pockets and an elastic phone pocket on the shoulder strap for quick device access. Inside the main compartment is a carabiner for attaching a hydration system water tank of up to 3 liters. There’s a special compartment for storing the detachable hip belt at the bottom of the rear panel.

At the front of the backpack, elastic shock cords are threaded through fabric loops, securing lightweight gear on the outside. The front velcro panel lets you attach any badges or patches.

The carrying system is based on ergonomic, adjustable shoulder straps that allow you to tailor the length to your body and evenly distribute the weight. The straps are designed to provide stability and comfort, limiting the backpack’s movement as you go. The padded back panel with a central ventilation channel cushions the load and enhances comfort during extended wear. The integrated internal nylon frame adds rigidity to the backpack, maintaining its boxy shape. The frame stabilizes the load regardless of how full the pack is and supports carrying heavier weight.

Additional stabilization comes from reinforced, rigid walls and a chest strap fastened with a composite buckle, which is height adjustable. At the top of the backpack is a carry handle. The hip belt is removable and partially padded for effective transfer of weight from the shoulders to the hips, improving the system’s stability. The Bergbuckle-style buckle ensures the belt fastens securely and quietly.
