Bestech Knives Grampus Folding Knife - Beige

Robust folding EDC knife (Every Day Carry). Featuring a Drop-Point blade profile crafted from D2 tool steel, renowned for its excellent corrosion resistance and superior edge durability. The plain edge boasts a flat grind and a satin finish for a semi-matte look, with Stonewash processing on convex sections. Constructed with a G10 laminate handle, which offers a secure, non-slip grip. Deployment is effortless thanks to the flipper, and safe operation is provided by the Liner Lock mechanism.

D2 tool steel

Forged from D2 tool steel, recognized as a semi-stainless grade, the blade delivers balanced corrosion resistance alongside outstanding wear resistance and reliable retention of a sharp, resilient edge. Upon hardening, the steel reaches a hardness rating of 57-62 HRC, ensuring the edge remains sharp under demanding conditions.

Drop-point blade finished with satinizing and stonewash

Outfitted with a Drop-Point profile blade, the knife boasts a length of 88 mm and a thickness of 3.5 mm. A smooth cutting edge is achieved through a flat grind, ensuring precise slicing performance. The blade receives both satinizing and Stonewash finishes, imparting a matte appearance that reduces glare and boosts resistance to scratching. Enhanced operational safety comes from the jimping (notching) located on the blade's spine, delivering a reliable thumb rest for secure handling.

non-slip handle made of G10 laminate, steel clip

The handle features a G10 laminate construction, composed of multiple layers of fiberglass reinforced with epoxy resin. Exceptional strength, moisture resistance, and low weight characterize this material. An ergonomically contoured, non-slip surface ensures a secure grip. A steel clip provides practical carry options, allowing attachment to a belt, pocket, or other gear element. A hole at the end of the handle accommodates a cord or lanyard.

Liner Lock, flipper

A flipper enables rapid deployment of the blade and subsequently functions as a compact cross guard, safeguarding fingers from slipping onto the cutting edge. Smooth blade action is ensured by a ball bearing integrated into the knife’s pivot. Secure lockup in the open position is provided by the Liner Lock mechanism.

D2 feature
D2
D2 is a high-carbon tool steel classified as semi-stainless, characterized by high wear resistance and the ability to maintain a thin, durable edge. It achieves a hardness of 57-62 HRC, which ensures long-lasting sharpness even with intensive use. Its chemical composition is a precisely selected combination of elements: carbon (1.4-1.6%), chromium (11-13%), molybdenum (up to 0.8%), vanadium (up to 1%), manganese (up to 1%), and silicon (up to 1%). The high carbon and chromium content ensures hardness and wear resistance, while molybdenum and vanadium improve the strength and durability of the cutting edge. Although D2 steel is not completely stainless, its corrosion resistance is sufficient to meet the requirements of most conditions of use. It is widely used in the production of mid-range and high-end knives, including handmade knives and cutting tools.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.

A great folder for a reasonable price made of excellent steel. Ergonomic G10 handle and superb mechanics that would not be out of place in much more expensive designs. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

In my opinion, this is an outstanding knife. Earlier, I also considered the Warwolf or Lion models. In the end, I chose the Grampus and it was definitely the right choice. It fits great in the hand, the anti-slip G10 laminate scales do their job and provide a secure grip. D2 tool steel is definitely an advantage ensuring long use. Opening is a breeze. Looks 10/10. Quite possibly, I’ll go for the other models too, because it's honestly worth it.

I think everything has already been said about this knife, but I have to add my own opinion because the knife is brilliant. The workmanship, scales, steel—simply amazing for such a low price.

For me, this knife is simply perfect—feels great in the hand, looks awesome, and the blade is made from D2 steel, which is underrated today but still excellent, so everyone can have a piece of solid blade.

Very ergonomic, chunky handle. Fits perfectly in the hand. A rather deep clip makes it disappear in the pocket. The steel is fairly okay, the mechanism flawless. As a budget option, I can recommend it.

The knife matches the description. It is precisely made and has no defects. It can be used immediately after taking it out of the box. It doesn't require sharpening or adjustment. The well-shaped handle provides a secure grip. Good value for the price.
