Bestech Knives Grampus Folding Knife - Green

Rugged folding EDC knife (Every Day Carry). Outfitted with a Drop-Point profile blade crafted from D2 tool steel, recognized for its excellent corrosion resistance and outstanding edge retention. Featuring a plain edge with a flat grind and completed with satinizing for a semi-matte appearance, while the convex sections are finished using the Stonewash technique. The handle is constructed from G10 laminate with a grippy, non-slip surface. A flipper allows for quick deployment, and the Liner Lock mechanism ensures user safety during operation.

D2 tool steel

Crafted from D2 tool steel, categorized as semi-stainless, the blade offers moderate resistance to corrosion, superior wear resistance, and excellent retention of a sharp, long-lasting edge. Once hardened, the steel reaches a hardness level of 57-62 HRC, ensuring reliable sharpness even during demanding use.

Drop-point blade finished with satinizing and stonewash

The Drop-Point profile blade measures 88 mm in length with a 3.5 mm thickness. A smooth cutting edge has been achieved through a flat grind. Finished with both the satinizing and Stonewash processes, the blade boasts a matte surface that minimizes light glare and enhances resistance to scratches. For improved operational safety, jimping (notching) along the spine offers a stable and secure thumb rest.

non-slip handle made of G10 laminate, steel clip

The handle features G10 laminate, composed of fiberglass layers fused together with epoxy resin. Renowned for its superior strength, moisture resistance, and lightweight properties, this material ensures durability in challenging conditions. An ergonomically contoured grip with a non-slip texture enhances handling security. A steel clip provides convenient carry options by enabling secure attachment to a belt, pocket, or gear. Additionally, a hole at the handle’s end allows for the attachment of a cord or lanyard.

Liner Lock, flipper

A flipper is used to deploy the blade, and once opened, it acts as a small cross guard to protect the fingers from slipping onto the edge. Smooth blade deployment is ensured by a ball bearing integrated into the knife’s main pivot. The blade is secured in the open position by a reliable Liner Lock mechanism.

D2 feature
D2
D2 is a high-carbon tool steel classified as semi-stainless, characterized by high wear resistance and the ability to maintain a thin, durable edge. It achieves a hardness of 57-62 HRC, which ensures long-lasting sharpness even with intensive use. Its chemical composition is a precisely selected combination of elements: carbon (1.4-1.6%), chromium (11-13%), molybdenum (up to 0.8%), vanadium (up to 1%), manganese (up to 1%), and silicon (up to 1%). The high carbon and chromium content ensures hardness and wear resistance, while molybdenum and vanadium improve the strength and durability of the cutting edge. Although D2 steel is not completely stainless, its corrosion resistance is sufficient to meet the requirements of most conditions of use. It is widely used in the production of mid-range and high-end knives, including handmade knives and cutting tools.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.

A great folder for a reasonable price made of excellent steel. Ergonomic G10 handle and superb mechanics that would not be out of place in much more expensive designs. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

In my opinion, this is an outstanding knife. Earlier, I also considered the Warwolf or Lion models. In the end, I chose the Grampus and it was definitely the right choice. It fits great in the hand, the anti-slip G10 laminate scales do their job and provide a secure grip. D2 tool steel is definitely an advantage ensuring long use. Opening is a breeze. Looks 10/10. Quite possibly, I’ll go for the other models too, because it's honestly worth it.

I think everything has already been said about this knife, but I have to add my own opinion because the knife is brilliant. The workmanship, scales, steel—simply amazing for such a low price.

For me, this knife is simply perfect—feels great in the hand, looks awesome, and the blade is made from D2 steel, which is underrated today but still excellent, so everyone can have a piece of solid blade.

Very ergonomic, chunky handle. Fits perfectly in the hand. A rather deep clip makes it disappear in the pocket. The steel is fairly okay, the mechanism flawless. As a budget option, I can recommend it.

The knife matches the description. It is precisely made and has no defects. It can be used immediately after taking it out of the box. It doesn't require sharpening or adjustment. The well-shaped handle provides a secure grip. Good value for the price.
