Bestech Knives Grampus Folding Knife - Black

A durable EDC folding knife (Every Day Carry). The blade, featuring a Drop-Point profile, is made of D2 tool steel, which is characterized by high corrosion resistance and excellent edge retention. The smooth blade features a flat grind and a satin finish, giving it a semi-matte appearance, while the convex sections feature a Stonewash finish. The handle is made of G10 laminate with a non-slip texture. The knife opens via a flipper, and the Liner Lock ensures safe use.

D2 tool steel

The blade is made of D2 tool steel, which is classified as a semi-stainless steel grade. This steel offers moderate corrosion resistance, high wear resistance, and the ability to maintain a thin, durable cutting edge. After hardening, it reaches a hardness of 57–62 HRC, which helps it retain its sharpness even with heavy use.

Drop-point blade finished with satinizing and stonewash

The blade, with a Drop-Point profile, is 88 mm long and 3.5 mm thick. It features a smooth cutting edge achieved through flat grinding. The blade is finished with a satin and stonewash finish, which gives it a matte texture that reduces light reflections and increases scratch resistance. Safety during use is enhanced by jimping (notching) on the blade spine, which provides secure support for the thumb.

non-slip handle made of G10 laminate, steel clip

The handle is made of G10 laminate, which consists of layers of fiberglass bonded with epoxy resin. This material offers high strength, moisture resistance, and light weight. The grip has an ergonomic shape with a non-slip surface. A steel clip makes it easy to carry the knife, allowing you to attach it to a belt, the edge of a pocket, or another piece of gear. At the end of the handle, there is a hole for a cord or lanyard.

Liner Lock, flipper

The blade is opened using a flipper, which, once opened, acts as a small cross guard that prevents the fingers from sliding onto the blade. The opening mechanism itself has been improved by incorporating a ball bearing into the knife’s main axis. When open, the blade is locked in place by a Liner Lock.

D2 feature
D2
D2 is a high-carbon tool steel classified as semi-stainless, characterized by high wear resistance and the ability to maintain a thin, durable edge. It achieves a hardness of 57-62 HRC, which ensures long-lasting sharpness even with intensive use. Its chemical composition is a precisely selected combination of elements: carbon (1.4-1.6%), chromium (11-13%), molybdenum (up to 0.8%), vanadium (up to 1%), manganese (up to 1%), and silicon (up to 1%). The high carbon and chromium content ensures hardness and wear resistance, while molybdenum and vanadium improve the strength and durability of the cutting edge. Although D2 steel is not completely stainless, its corrosion resistance is sufficient to meet the requirements of most conditions of use. It is widely used in the production of mid-range and high-end knives, including handmade knives and cutting tools.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.

A great folder for a reasonable price made of excellent steel. Ergonomic G10 handle and superb mechanics that would not be out of place in much more expensive designs. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

In my opinion, this is an outstanding knife. Earlier, I also considered the Warwolf or Lion models. In the end, I chose the Grampus and it was definitely the right choice. It fits great in the hand, the anti-slip G10 laminate scales do their job and provide a secure grip. D2 tool steel is definitely an advantage ensuring long use. Opening is a breeze. Looks 10/10. Quite possibly, I’ll go for the other models too, because it's honestly worth it.

I think everything has already been said about this knife, but I have to add my own opinion because the knife is brilliant. The workmanship, scales, steel—simply amazing for such a low price.

For me, this knife is simply perfect—feels great in the hand, looks awesome, and the blade is made from D2 steel, which is underrated today but still excellent, so everyone can have a piece of solid blade.

Very ergonomic, chunky handle. Fits perfectly in the hand. A rather deep clip makes it disappear in the pocket. The steel is fairly okay, the mechanism flawless. As a budget option, I can recommend it.

The knife matches the description. It is precisely made and has no defects. It can be used immediately after taking it out of the box. It doesn't require sharpening or adjustment. The well-shaped handle provides a secure grip. Good value for the price.
