Bestech Knives Penguin Folding Knife - Black/Green

Compact and lightweight EDC (Every Day Carry) folding knife, featuring a Sheepfoot blade crafted from premium D2 tool steel and a comfortable, ergonomic handle constructed from durable G10 laminate.

D2 tool steel, Black Stonewashed finish

Forged from premium-grade D2 tool steel, the knife blade offers exceptional wear resistance and is capable of holding a sharp, robust edge. The elevated levels of carbon and chromium provide excellent hardness and abrasion resistance, while the inclusion of molybdenum and vanadium further increases the blade's toughness.

The steel undergoes hardening to a range of 59-61 HRC, and features a finish using the Black Stonewashed process, delivering a semi-matte appearance and minimizing glare.

Sheepfoot blade, jimping

Equipped with a Sheepfoot blade featuring a gently sloping spine, the model boasts a 92 mm long blade with a smooth cutting edge designed for versatile use in daily activities and lightweight outdoor applications. Jimping on the back of the blade provides a secure rest for the thumb, enhancing grip and granting superior control during cutting tasks.

liner-lock mechanism, flipper

Rapid deployment of the knife is achieved through a main axis featuring a ceramic bearing and a flipper, which doubles as a guard to prevent the hand from slipping onto the blade. The blade remains securely locked in the open position by the dependable Liner Lock mechanism.

G10 laminate handle

The ergonomic handle features two-tone scales securely fastened to the frame with screws. Constructed from G10 laminate, the knife offers exceptional lightness and strength, while the coarse texture delivers a confident grip in all environments.

flexible clip, lanyard hole

A durable clip made from tip-up right carry stainless steel on the handle provides secure and convenient everyday carry, allowing the knife to attach easily to a belt or pocket edge. A hole located at the rear of the handle enables a cord to be threaded through for added security against loss, or for attachment to a lanyard or keychain.

D2 feature
D2
D2 is a high-carbon tool steel classified as semi-stainless, characterized by high wear resistance and the ability to maintain a thin, durable edge. It achieves a hardness of 57-62 HRC, which ensures long-lasting sharpness even with intensive use. Its chemical composition is a precisely selected combination of elements: carbon (1.4-1.6%), chromium (11-13%), molybdenum (up to 0.8%), vanadium (up to 1%), manganese (up to 1%), and silicon (up to 1%). The high carbon and chromium content ensures hardness and wear resistance, while molybdenum and vanadium improve the strength and durability of the cutting edge. Although D2 steel is not completely stainless, its corrosion resistance is sufficient to meet the requirements of most conditions of use. It is widely used in the production of mid-range and high-end knives, including handmade knives and cutting tools.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
