Bestech Knives Slasher Folding Knife - Black

A lightweight yet robust folder engineered for daily EDC (Every Day Carry) applications. Outfitted with a Sheepfoot blade crafted from high-carbon D2 tool steel renowned for its exceptional wear resistance. The steel has undergone hardening to achieve a level of 59-61 HRC on the hardness scale. Featuring a Stonewash finish for a semi-matte appearance, the blade utilizes a flat grind for enhanced performance.

easy opening, B-Lock

Blade deployment is achieved using a flipper, with the action further enhanced by a ceramic ball bearing integrated into the knife’s main pivot. Secure blade lock-up is ensured by a sliding B-Lock mechanism. For improved grip and precise guidance during cutting, jimping (notches) is present on the spine of the blade where the thumb naturally rests.

Ergonomic Micarta grip, flexible steel clip

Ergonomically shaped handle scales crafted from Micarta ensure a reliable grip, even in wet or dirty conditions. The non-slip texture of the scales, along with an index finger cutout, guarantees secure handling. A tip-up clip made of spring steel allows for easy and safe carry of the knife.

D2 feature
D2
D2 is a high-carbon tool steel classified as semi-stainless, characterized by high wear resistance and the ability to maintain a thin, durable edge. It achieves a hardness of 57-62 HRC, which ensures long-lasting sharpness even with intensive use. Its chemical composition is a precisely selected combination of elements: carbon (1.4-1.6%), chromium (11-13%), molybdenum (up to 0.8%), vanadium (up to 1%), manganese (up to 1%), and silicon (up to 1%). The high carbon and chromium content ensures hardness and wear resistance, while molybdenum and vanadium improve the strength and durability of the cutting edge. Although D2 steel is not completely stainless, its corrosion resistance is sufficient to meet the requirements of most conditions of use. It is widely used in the production of mid-range and high-end knives, including handmade knives and cutting tools.
B-Lock feature
B-Lock
The B-Lock mechanism is Bestech's proprietary solution, inspired by the Axis Lock design. It uses a steel strip that slides in the handle guides to lock the blade pin, and is released by pulling the strip back on both sides of the knife. Thanks to springs, the system works smoothly and can be operated with one hand by both right- and left-handed users.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
Micarta feature
Micarta
Micarta is a composite material made of layers of fabric (including canvas, linen, and paper) soaked in resin and pressed under high pressure and temperature. It is characterized by high mechanical strength, resistance to impact, abrasion, and changing weather conditions, as well as dimensional stability, which makes it ideal for knife handles. The surface of Micarta provides a secure grip and can be finished smooth or left with a slight texture to improve control over the tool. The material does not conduct heat or electricity, tolerates contact with moisture well, and acquires a characteristic patina over time, emphasizing the individual style of the knife. Thanks to its combination of durability, environmental resistance, and unique appearance, Micarta is widely used in EDC, outdoor, and collector's knives.

The knife is beautiful, but the picture does not match reality. The photo shows the smaller version, with a blade length of 3.07 inches, which is about 77-78 mm. The description says everything correctly, indicating the model you will receive, with a blade length of 3.5 inches, or 89 mm. The main difference is the clip: in the version described, the clip is made of wire, not a piece of metal as in the picture. For me, this turned out to be a plus, but it might discourage someone else.

Good materials and low price make this knife a solid proposition. The mechanism works very well. The lock works flawlessly. The steel holds its sharpness for a long time and is easy to sharpen.

An interesting lock that provides a lot of fun with opening and closing the knife. The mechanics are very smooth. Good steel. It will be a good option as a folding EDC knife.

Very well-made knife and one of the best Axis knives I've dealt with. This is already my second knife from this series, it also looks very good in black stonewash :) I recommend it!
