Bestechman Sprite Folding Knife - Dark Bead Blast Stonewash

An everyday carry (EDC) folding knife with a lightweight and ergonomic design, made from high-quality materials. The Sprite model features a Drop-Point blade made of M390 stainless steel, which ensures durability, resistance to wear and corrosion, and excellent edge retention. The handle consists of scales made of titanium. The thumb stud and B-Lock locking mechanism ensure comfortable handling and a high level of safety during use.

M390 stainless steel, Dark Bead Blast Stonewash finish

The blade is made of M390 stainless steel hardened to 62 HRC, which ensures durability, wear and corrosion resistance, and offers excellent edge retention. The Dark Bead Blast Stonewash finish combines a matte bead blast with a stonewash process, creating a dark, slightly textured surface that reduces glare. This finish also effectively masks minor scratches that occur during use.

Drop-Point blade, flat grind, thumb stud

The blade, with a Drop-Point profile, is 60 mm long and 2.3 mm thick. The edge features a high flat grind. The blade shape, with a clearly defined bevel, ensures excellent cutting efficiency and allows for tasks requiring high precision and accuracy. Smooth opening and comfortable one-handed operation are made possible by a double-sided thumb stud on the blade. The spine of the blade features jimping (notches), which provides a secure thumb rest and increases control over the blade while cutting.

Titanium handle, deep-carry pocket clip

The ergonomically shaped handle is made of lightweight and durable titanium. This material ensures the structure has adequate rigidity while remaining lightweight, which is essential for an everyday carry knife. The handle, like the blade, has been finished using the Dark Bead Blast Stonewash method. The deep-carry clip allows for discreet and secure carrying of the knife, and the ability to mount it on either side of the handle lets you adjust its position to suit your individual preferences. The slim design of the entire knife and its compact dimensions mean that this model fits well in a pocket and does not cause discomfort during everyday carry.

B-Lock locking mechanism

The B-Lock locking mechanism stabilizes the blade in the open position, effectively preventing it from accidentally folding. This makes the knife safe to use, even when working in challenging conditions. The lock’s design ensures intuitive and comfortable one-handed operation.

M390 feature
M390
M390 is a premium powdered tool steel from the Austrian steelworks Bohler, distinguished by its high resistance to corrosion and abrasion. It contains 1.9% carbon (hardness and cutting properties), 20% chromium (stainlessness and durability in moisture), 4% vanadium, 1% molybdenum, and silicon, manganese, and tungsten additives to strengthen the structure and elasticity. Thanks to powder metallurgy (PM) technology, it has a fine-grained structure and uniform carbide distribution, which increases blade durability and machining precision. After hardening, it reaches 60-62 HRC. It is used in premium, outdoor, EDC, and hunting knives. In the past, M390 steel was marked with the suffix “Microclean,” but today this technology is a production standard, so the Bohler M390 marking alone is sufficient to confirm the highest quality of the material.
B-Lock feature
B-Lock
The B-Lock mechanism is Bestech's proprietary solution, inspired by the Axis Lock design. It uses a steel strip that slides in the handle guides to lock the blade pin, and is released by pulling the strip back on both sides of the knife. Thanks to springs, the system works smoothly and can be operated with one hand by both right- and left-handed users.
Titanium feature
Titanium
Titanium is a lightweight, extremely durable metal widely used in knife manufacturing, especially in handles, locks, and structural elements. It is characterized by a very high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance, even in contact with salt water. Titanium is slightly more difficult to machine than steel or aluminum, but it can be anodized to produce durable and attractive surfaces in a variety of colors. This material is also hypoallergenic, does not conduct heat as intensely as steel, and is not magnetized. Due to its strength, chemical resistance, and relatively low weight, titanium is used in tactical knives, EDC knives, and premium models designed for intensive use.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
Bead Blast feature
Bead Blast
Bead Blast is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel with a stream of fine ceramic or glass beads under high pressure. It gives the surface a uniform matte, satin-gray appearance without any light reflections. The surface obtained in the sandblasting process is smooth and aesthetic, but due to micro-pores, it may be slightly more susceptible to wear and corrosion if the blade is not properly protected. Nevertheless, Bead Blast is valued for its simplicity, discretion, and masking properties, which is why it is used in EDC, outdoor, and military knives.
