The model is equipped with a massive 420 stainless steel blade covered with a black protective coating, an ergonomic handle made of wenge wood, and a matching nylon sheath. Thanks to its thoughtful design, solid construction, and use of durable materials, it is ideal for demanding tasks.

420 stainless steel, powder coating

The blade of the machete is made of 420 stainless steel, which is characterized by very good corrosion resistance. The blade is coated with black to protect against rust and light reflections.

appropriately profiled blade

The model features a blade length of 460 mm and a thickness of 4.1 mm. Properly balanced blade translates to better control over the tool. The weight is evenly distributed between the blade and handle, ensuring higher cutting precision and reducing hand fatigue during prolonged use.

wooden handle

The handle of the machete is made from wenge wood. The material used offers very good mechanical durability, impact resistance, wear resistance, and is resilient to changing weather conditions. The textured surface of the scales combined with their ergonomic shape guarantees a secure grip while working with the tool.

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Boker.

Boker is a German knife manufacturer with a tradition dating back to the 17th century, known for its distinctive chestnut tree logo – “Tree Brand.” In 1830, the company was already producing up to 2000 sabers per week, which were sent to battlefields across Europe. In the 19th century, it expanded its operations to the US, Canada, and Mexico, establishing recognizable subsidiaries. Today, the main factory in Solingen specializes in handcrafted collector's and utility knives, including those made of steel recovered from historical objects such as the Tripitz battleship. The brand offers four lines: Boker Manufaktur Solingen, Boker Plus, Magnum, and Arbolito. Boker products are valued by collectors, uniformed services, and chefs around the world.

50HF feature
50HF
50HF is Polish spring steel in accordance with the PN standard, equivalent to EN 51CrV4 (1.8159) and American AISI 6150. It is characterized by a carbon content of 0.47-0.55%, which ensures good hardness and elasticity, and the addition of chromium (0.8-1.1%) increasing abrasion resistance and partial protection against corrosion. The low phosphorus and sulfur content reduces the brittleness of the material, which increases its strength in dynamic operation. After hardening, the steel achieves a hardness of 52-57 HRC, while maintaining very high impact strength and resistance to cracking. Thanks to this, 50HF is used in survival knives, outdoor knives, and camping tools.
Micarta feature
Micarta
Micarta is a composite material made of layers of fabric (including canvas, linen, and paper) soaked in resin and pressed under high pressure and temperature. It is characterized by high mechanical strength, resistance to impact, abrasion, and changing weather conditions, as well as dimensional stability, which makes it ideal for knife handles. The surface of Micarta provides a secure grip and can be finished smooth or left with a slight texture to improve control over the tool. The material does not conduct heat or electricity, tolerates contact with moisture well, and acquires a characteristic patina over time, emphasizing the individual style of the knife. Thanks to its combination of durability, environmental resistance, and unique appearance, Micarta is widely used in EDC, outdoor, and collector's knives.
Powder feature
Powder
Powder coating is a modern finish that creates a hard and durable protective layer on metal elements, including knife blades. The process involves electrostatically applying dry powder to the surface and curing it in an oven, resulting in a thicker and more uniform coating than traditional paints. Powder Coat does not contain solvents and is more environmentally friendly, prevents the coating from running during application, and provides high resistance to corrosion, scratches, impacts, chemicals, and UV radiation. The coating is available in a wide range of colors and textures, from smooth to rough, allowing you to customize the look and functionality of the finish.

A large and heavy machete. You need to get used to it because, despite its lower weight (705g) than the hatchet shown in the pictures (about 800g), it has a completely different balance. A moment of inattention, and if you miss your target, there's risk of ...amputation :) Too big for gardening work, rather suitable for lopping branches. Very well made, factory sharpened well enough, if someone wants it razor-sharp, they can improve it. The blade is thick, stiff, and does not flex. I recommend it.

Unfortunately, when I bought this product, I didn't intend to write the first review or a negative one; on the contrary, I wanted to write a solid review about my first machete that I purchased. When the machete arrived in a beautiful cardboard box, it felt solid in hand and was well made, just like the sheath. However, the same day I went to the forest to indulge in my passion for the outdoors. While batoning some pine wood for firewood, the machete simply broke between the handle and the beginning of the blade, as if it hadn't undergone the steel hardening process. It's 420 stainless steel, and I didn't expect something like this. Overall, I think the product is generally okay, maybe my particular piece just wasn't properly hardened at the factory or had some other defect. Personally, I don't recommend this product :( , but if you're confident in the warranty and the possibility of return, it's worth testing.
