Boker Plus Atlas Drop Point Folding Knife - Blue

EDC folding knife (Every Day Carry - for everyday carry) with a 73 mm long Drop-Point blade. The blade is made of 12C27 stainless steel. The handle scales are made of stainless steel. In the open position, the blade is locked by a Slipjoint locking mechanism. The design is complemented by a practical clip that makes everyday carry easier.

12C27 stainless steel

The blade is made of 12C27 stainless steel, characterised by high corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening while maintaining very good working sharpness. This steel was developed with knives in mind, offering a favourable balance between wear resistance, durability and cutting edge stability. Its fine-grained structure translates into clean, aggressive cutting and good control during sharpening, making it well suited for EDC and outdoor applications. 12C27 steel handles moisture and everyday use well, providing reliable performance across a wide range of applications.

Drop-Point blade with satin finish

The Drop-Point blade has a length of 73 mm and a thickness of 2,5 mm. This profile works particularly well in outdoor and EDC applications, where a combination of high piercing capability and optimal blade control is required. The blade features a plain edge with a flat grind. The blade has been finished with a satin finish, resulting in a semi-matte texture that reduces light reflections and increases scratch resistance.

Slipjoint lock

The knife blade opens manually using a nail nick, which ensures simple and intuitive operation. Blade stabilisation is provided by the Slipjoint mechanism, which keeps the blade in the open position during use while also allowing it to be quickly folded with greater pressure.

steel handle, spring clip

The profiled handle scales are made of stainless steel, which guarantees high resistance to mechanical damage. At the end there is a small hole for attaching a cord. Carrying comfort is also ensured by a spring tip-up clip.

Boker

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Boker.

Boker is a German knife brand with a tradition dating back to the 17th century, known for its distinctive chestnut tree logo - "Tree Brand." As early as 1830, the company was producing as many as 2,000 sabers per week, which reached European battlefields. In the 19th century, it expanded its operations to the USA, Canada, and Mexico, creating recognizable branches. Today, the main factory in Solingen specializes in handmade collector's and utility knives, also using steel recovered from historical objects, such as the battleship Tirpitz. The brand offers four lines: Boker Manufaktur Solingen, Boker Plus, Magnum, and Arbolito. Boker products are valued by collectors, uniformed services, and chefs around the world.

12C27 feature
12C27
12C27 is a high-quality Swedish stainless steel developed by Sandvik (now Alleima), similar in chemical composition and mechanical properties to 440A steel. It has a very fine-grained structure, which improves its cutting properties and durability. The carbon content (0.52%) ensures adequate hardness, while chromium (14.5%) guarantees very good corrosion and abrasion resistance. The steel also contains manganese (0.6%), silicon (0.4%), phosphorus (up to 0.025%), and sulfur (up to 0.025%), which improves hardenability, strength, and structural stability while minimizing the risk of microcracks and brittleness. After heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness of 53-59 HRC, offering good impact resistance and ease of sharpening. The steel is widely used in EDC, kitchen, hunting, and outdoor knives. It is characterized by high corrosion resistance, good edge retention, and ease of maintenance, making it a popular choice, especially among Scandinavian manufacturers and companies such as Kershaw.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
