Boker Plus Tracker 2.0 Knife

A robust survival knife with a Full Tang construction and an overall length of 312 mm, featuring a 183 mm Tracker-profile blade made of 1095 carbon steel, which ensures high durability and wear resistance. The handle scales are made of Micarta. The knife was designed by knifemaker Dave Wenger. The model was created for demanding field tasks such as chopping, cutting, scraping, digging and prying.

1095 carbon steel

The knife blade is made of high-quality 1095 carbon steel, characterised by high abrasion resistance, edge retention, easy sharpening and resistance to chipping. The blade is black powder coated, which eliminates glare and light reflections, while also protecting against corrosion.

Tracker-type blade, two-stage grind

The Tracker blade is 183 mm long and 6 mm thick. The plain cutting edge is ground with a compound grind divided into two sections. The area closer to the handle has a high grind with a thin cutting edge. This section was designed for precise tasks such as whittling, preparing kindling or cutting synthetic materials. The front section, with a wide belly and a thicker edge and a forward-shifted centre of gravity, allows for chopping, splitting and heavy-duty work. The break in the edge between the two grinds forms a distinctive hook for making notches, removing bark from wood or using a flint.

Micarta scales

The handle is made of durable Micarta composite based on epoxy resin, characterised by high mechanical strength, resistance to water, changes in humidity and temperature, as well as most solvents and acids. Its non-slip texture ensures a secure grip in all conditions. The handle features three hollow pins with a lanyard hole, through which paracord or a retaining cord can be threaded to protect the knife from being lost.

Kydex sheath

The set includes a rigid sheath made of lightweight and damage-resistant Kydex. Holes and eyelets placed on each side of the sheath enable multiposition attachment to equipment. The sheath is equipped with a belt adapter, allowing stable carry of the knife in the field.

Boker is a German knife brand with a tradition dating back to the 17th century, known for its distinctive chestnut tree logo - "Tree Brand." As early as 1830, the company was producing as many as 2,000 sabers per week, which reached European battlefields. In the 19th century, it expanded its operations to the USA, Canada, and Mexico, creating recognizable branches. Today, the main factory in Solingen specializes in handmade collector's and utility knives, also using steel recovered from historical objects, such as the battleship Tirpitz. Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
Micarta feature
Micarta
Micarta is a composite material made of layers of fabric (including canvas, linen, and paper) soaked in resin and pressed under high pressure and temperature. It is characterized by high mechanical strength, resistance to impact, abrasion, and changing weather conditions, as well as dimensional stability, which makes it ideal for knife handles. The surface of Micarta provides a secure grip and can be finished smooth or left with a slight texture to improve control over the tool. The material does not conduct heat or electricity, tolerates contact with moisture well, and acquires a characteristic patina over time, emphasizing the individual style of the knife. Thanks to its combination of durability, environmental resistance, and unique appearance, Micarta is widely used in EDC, outdoor, and collector's knives.
