CamelBak BFM Futura V3 Backpack 46 l - Coyote

Tactical backpack with a clamshell opening with a capacity of 46 liters. Made of durable and abrasion-resistant material 500D Cordura, additionally reinforced with Rip-Stop weave. The main compartment with a two-way zipper is for carrying essential gear. A padded pocket for a hydration system is placed on the back. The backpack comes with a CamelBak Antidote hydration insert with a capacity of 3 l.

Spacious main compartment, numerous pockets and practical loops allow for organized arrangement of equipment. Convenient hand carrying is made possible by a carrying handle. The carrying system consists of soft straps, ventilated back, as well as a chest and hip belt. Laser-cuttings compliant with MOLLE/PALS system allow mounting additional pockets.

The BFM model is the result of close collaboration between Camelbak and the French armed forces.

Durable 500D cordura, NIR technology

The model is made from durable 500D Cordura, characterized by high resistance to abrasions, tears, and moisture. The application of NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) technology limits detection by ambient light amplifiers (night vision devices).

main compartment and expanded pocket layout

The main compartment is closed with a two-way zipper and features a full clamshell opening system, facilitating packing and quick access to contents. Inside, there are mesh pockets that allow for the orderly arrangement of small accessories.

The model is equipped with numerous pockets:

  • On the front, there are 2 pockets - one with an organizer, the other with a mesh partition
  • A compact, fleece-lined pocket with a zipper for handy items is added to the upper part of the backpack
  • A pocket for a hydration system is placed on the back
  • There are 2 small pockets with zippers on the sides of the backpack
  • There are 2 large pockets with zippers on the sides of the backpack

The backpack is equipped with 2 flaps for routing cables or radio antennas. This solution allows antenna cables to be led out from the interior to the exterior of the backpack without leaving compartments open. It facilitates using communication equipment, like a radio carried in the main compartment, and helps maintain order and better secure the contents during field operations.

Futura carrying system, carrying handle

The adjustable FUTURA carrying system with return straps ensures stable positioning of the backpack on the back and even weight distribution. It allows adapting the straps to the user's physique, enhancing comfort during long marches and when carrying heavier gear. The design increases control over the backpack in motion, limiting its shifting during field activities.

The model features elastic back panels covered with breathable mesh, providing optimal ventilation and high comfort of use. The adjustable hip and chest belt allows for even weight distribution. A carrying handle is added to the upper part of the backpack, enabling convenient hand carrying.

molle/pals system

Numerous laser cutouts compliant with the MOLLE/PALS system are distributed over the backpack surface, allowing for expansion with additional pockets and pouches.

velcro panel

A velcro panel is placed on the front of the backpack for attaching patches and emblems, such as a national flag, unit insignia, or so-called Morale Patches.

Antidote Hydration Insert 3 l

The CamelBak Antidote hydration insert is a low-profile tank designed for backpacks and hydration systems. It is equipped with an opening and closing system Quick Link and a Big Bite Valve, making hydration in the field quick and convenient. Hydroguard technology limits bacteria growth inside the tank and tube, helping keep the hydration system cleaner and preventing unpleasant odors. The tank has a capacity of 3 liters and is made of materials free from BPA, BPS, and BPF.

YKK zippers, fastex buckles

The model uses zippers from the renowned company YKK. Compression straps with Fastex buckles allow adjusting the backpack size to the user's needs.

CamelBak is an American brand founded in 1989 that revolutionized hands-free hydration with its no-compromise motto, “Hydrate or Die.” The first CamelBak system was made from an infusion bag and a sock, and today the brand's products are used by athletes, soldiers, rescue workers, and even NASA. The company was one of the first in the world to introduce BPA-free bottles, caring for both the health of its users and the environment. Its range includes hydration backpacks, water bottles, gloves, and outdoor accessories. Velcro feature
Velcro

The velcro panel is an area with sewn-on Velcro tape that allows easy attachment of various additional items, such as patches or pockets.

Cordura feature
Cordura

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.

YKK zippers feature
YKK zippers

YKK zippers are high-quality zippers commonly used in clothing and accessories, manufactured by the Japanese YKK Corporation - one of the world's largest zipper manufacturers.

Rip-Stop feature
Rip-Stop

Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.

Fastex buckles feature
Fastex buckles

Fastex buckles are a popular type of fastener consisting of two parts that snap together, and pressing both sides of the buckle on the sides causes it to come undone. They are often used to fasten belts, backpack pockets and other items where fast and secure fastening and unfastening are crucial.

Hydroguard feature
Hydroguard

Hydroguard is a technology that has been officially approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a means of preventing the formation and multiplication of bacteria and fungi. The use of a silver ion-based coating provides a durable solution that is not subject to wear and tear.

System MOLLE feature
System MOLLE

MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.

PALS system feature
PALS system

PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.

Laser Cut System feature
Laser Cut System

LCS (Laser Cut System) is a new version of the assembly used in the MOLLE system, where instead of traditional tapes, laser-cut holes are used directly in the material. The system is much lighter than standard sewn-on PALS tapes and guarantees better camouflage. The holes are hemmed with thread to prevent fuzzing and ripping, or, as in the case of Cordura, the laser-cut edges are fused.

NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) feature
NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance)
NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) is a material property of controlled reflection of radiation in the near-infrared (780-2500 nm) range, used primarily in tactical clothing and equipment. NIR-treated fabrics are designed to reduce the thermal emission and reflection of IR radiation, allowing the material's surface temperature to be kept close to ambient. This reduces the risk of detection of the wearer by electronic-optical surveillance systems, including night vision and infrared sensors. NIR technology significantly improves the effectiveness of camouflage in combat and low-light conditions.
