Carinthia D 400X Large Sleeping Bag Left - Red
Robust sleeping bag in a red color with a mummy-style construction, providing optimal body alignment and freedom of movement throughout the night. Crafted from premium Shelltex material, the exterior is highly resistant to wear, while the insulation is a blend of 95/5 CQ-Down goose down and G-Loft filling.
Temperature and usage conditions
The operating temperatures of the Carinthia D 400X sleeping bag are specified in accordance with EN 13537:
- T-comfort: 0 deg C - the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably through the night,
- T-limit: -5 deg C - the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep through the night without discomfort,
- T-extreme: -23 deg C - the lowest temperature at which survival in the sleeping bag is possible. This is not a value recommended for standard use.
Pertex Quantum Endurance and Shelltex Ultra material
The exterior utilizes Pertex Quantum Endurance, while the interior features Shelltex Ultra. Engineered for minimal weight, the material offers excellent resistance to mechanical wear, moisture, snow, and wind. Enhanced breathability allows for efficient moisture and sweat management, providing superior sleeping comfort. Owing to its advanced design, the fabric remains highly abrasion- and tear-resistant, making it ideal for demanding outdoor conditions.
G-Loft, 95/5 CQ-Down filling
Equipped with 95/5 CQ-Down goose down, the D400X model offers exceptional lightness alongside superior thermal insulation and a high loft value of 800 cuin (cubic inches). Down insulation is arranged in H-chambers, effectively eliminating shifting and guaranteeing consistent cold weather protection. An additional external insulation layer provided by the DIScover system helps shield the down against moisture, thereby optimizing the sleeping bag’s performance. To further enhance thermal comfort, synthetic G-Loft insulation is incorporated, which maintains its insulating effectiveness even in wet conditions, after washing, and through prolonged use.
Left-side zipper, Anti Snag system
A two-way zipper positioned on the left side enables the sleeping bag to be fully opened. The Anti Snag system ensures the fabric does not get trapped in the zipper. At the top, a Velcro flap secures the zipper during the night to prevent accidental opening. An internal small pocket offers a convenient spot for keeping small essentials.
Integrated hood for cold protection
The integrated hood enhances thermal insulation by covering the head, effectively minimizing heat loss in cold environments. Its ergonomic design offers extra defense against wind and moisture.
