Carinthia Survival Down 1000 Sleeping Bag - Olive
A down sleeping bag in a mummy fit in olive, intended for use in demanding field conditions. The outer layer and lining are made of 100% polyamide, while insulation is provided by European 95/5 goose down used in the CQ-Down system. Temperatures and conditions of use
The operating temperatures of the Survival Down 1000 sleeping bag are specified in accordance with EN 13537:
- T-comfort: -20 degrees Celsius - the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably through the night.
- T-extreme: -40 degrees Celsius - the lowest temperature at which it is possible to survive in the sleeping bag. This is not a value recommended for standard use.
Polyamide outer layer and lining
The outer layer is made of 100% polyamide, which combines low weight with resistance to intensive use. The inner lining is also made of 100% polyamide. This combination helps maintain a lightweight construction and works well with the natural down filling.
European 95/5 goose down and the CQ-Down system
Thermal insulation is provided by European 95/5 goose down used in the CQ-Down system. The natural filling is characterised by high thermal insulation properties and retains its parameters even after repeated compression of the sleeping bag. The down is distributed in H-type chambers with elastic baffles, which allow it to achieve the proper loft and limit its movement inside the construction. The differential cut used reduces the risk of excessive compression of the insulating layer and helps limit the formation of areas with weaker insulation, including around the knees and elbows.
Two zippers and protective features
A central two-way zip is used at the front of the sleeping bag. It allows adjustment of the degree to which the sleeping bag is opened and supports ventilation and microclimate adjustment during use. The zip is protected by a thermal strip, protective flap, and Anti Snag tape, reducing the risk of the fabric being caught. In the lower part there is a separate zip at the feet, the opening of which allows the legs to be extended out. After tying up the lower part of the sleeping bag, this solution allows movement without having to remove the sleeping bag completely.
Hood and construction enhancing comfort
The sleeping bag is equipped with a contoured hood with an adjustable face opening. An elastic drawstring allows a close fit, helping to reduce heat loss around the head. Additional insulation is provided by a thermal collar. The lower part is made in the form of a spacious trapezoidal foot section, which provides more room for the legs during sleep and limits compression of the filling in this area. The insulating layer also includes hidden sleeves; after taking them out and extending the legs, the sleeping bag can be used as additional thermal protection while moving.
Dimensions and weight
The sleeping bag has a length of 225 cm, a width at the upper part of 85 cm, and a width at the lower part of 60 cm. The weight is approximately 1850 g. When packed, the sleeping bag measures approximately 25 x 40 cm.
