Powerful telescope featuring an 8-inch Newtonian reflector, enabling real-time stargazing through a smartphone screen (smartphone not included). Outfitted with a StarPointer (red dot) finder, a primary mirror with a 203 mm diameter, a 1200 mm focal length, and a 2" Crayford focuser for optimal performance.
All optics are treated with StarBright XLT coatings to maximize contrast and light transmission, revealing fine details when viewing the Moon, planets, galaxies, and nebulae. Utilized mirrors are crafted from low thermal expansion optical glass, providing superior image quality under various environmental conditions.
For smartphone-assisted sky exploration, simply position the device in the appropriate holder and activate the StarSense Explorer app. Using LISA sky recognition technology, the app analyzes stellar patterns and determines telescope orientation. After selecting a target, guidance arrows appear on screen, streamlining the process of locating celestial objects.
Stable observations are ensured with a Dobsonian base featuring large diameter vertical axis bearings with adjustable tension, Teflon horizontal axis bearings, and reinforced side panels. Such design delivers smooth vertical and horizontal movement, while the tube handle permits precise positioning without heating the optical system by hand contact.
Nearly any 1.25" or 2" eyepiece is compatible with the system, thanks to the included 2" to 1.25" adapter and 2" extender. The set also features a 25 mm Plossl eyepiece.
