Civivi Baklash C801H Folding Knife - Black

An EDC (Every Day Carry) folding knife featuring a blade with a Drop-Point profile, crafted from robust and corrosion-resistant 9Cr18MoV stainless steel with a hardness of 58-60 HRC. Equipped with a concave grind (Hollow Grind), the blade is finished using the Black Stonewash technique, resulting in a black, semi-matte appearance.

Drop-Point blade, 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, jimping

Featuring a Drop-Point blade profile, this knife is crafted from 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, known for its exceptional hardness and resistance to corrosion. The blade incorporates a concave grind (Hollow Grind) for enhanced cutting performance. A section of jimping (notching) is located on the spine where the thumb rests, providing improved blade control during use.

flipper, Ceramic ball bearings, Liner lock

The knife features a flipper for opening, which serves as a small guard when deployed, helping to secure your grip and prevent your hand from sliding onto the blade during use. Ceramic ball bearings ensure a fluid opening action, enabling rapid blade deployment. Once opened, the blade is secured in place with a Liner Lock mechanism.

g10 laminate, resilient clip

Handle scales crafted from robust G10 laminate provide an ergonomic design for enhanced comfort. A spring-loaded clip is installed in the tip-up position, enabling convenient carry when secured to a belt or pocket edge. Users can mount the clip on either the left or right side of the handle to suit their preference. The end of the handle features a hole designed for attaching a safety cable or key ring.

Soft nylon case for storage and transportation

Folder comes secured within a zippered nylon case featuring the manufacturer's logo, ensuring protection for the knife during both storage and transport.

Great folding knife. It's definitely not a pocket-sized penknife, but a full-sized tool for everyday use. It doesn't give the impression of being overly large and isn't too heavy. The build quality is top-notch – everything fits perfectly and is well-lubricated. The knife comes factory-sharpened and is shave-ready right out of the box. The design might not be Baklash's strongest suit. You get a rounded handle, a noticeably pronounced guard, and a rather narrow blade with certain tactical tendencies. However, ergonomics make up for everything. The handle is large enough to grip comfortably with size 9/L hands. The jimping on the spine is 3.5 cm long, and you can rest your whole thumb on it (finally!). Only the finger choil under the blade isn't completely refined – it's a bit too small and your finger can touch the notch of the cutting edge. For precise carving, it's fine, but definitely not for anything that requires more force. The protruding guard increases overall user safety. The blade lock holds the closed knife very securely, so there's no way to accidentally shake it open. The flipper also offers more resistance, so the knife won't open from a slight knock. Great price-to-quality ratio – for 215 PLN, what more could you want?

Now I know what a solid EDC knife is. The precision is surprising. The lock in the closed position (magnetic) and easy opening with a firm lock when open / The sharpness is at a high level. You can feel the quality.

A very neat knife. In my opinion, a practical profile because it ends sharply enough that you can stab, dig out, or drill something with it... The concave profile should give greater edge stability, which is really great. The bearing, the lock, it's really nice to play with. Money well spent.

After a few weeks of use, I started to like this knife and it really grows on you as you carry and use it. An interesting option when it comes to budget folding knives. I recommend it.
