S35VN stainless steel, an advanced alloy developed as the successor to S30V, is crafted using powder metallurgy techniques and offers superior corrosion resistance, increased ease of sharpening over S30V, and, thanks to its finer grain structure, delivers enhanced resistance to chipping.
Equipped with a disc that can be accessed from both sides and operated using the thumb, the blade offers effortless opening with either hand. The disc, featuring a specialized notch, also mimics Emmerson’s wave feature—as the knife is drawn, the protruding section catches on the pocket’s edge, instantly deploying the blade for immediate use.
Once fully extended, the blade becomes secured by the robust Tri-Ad Lock, an enhanced version of the traditional Back Lock. Distinguished by a deeper engagement, this mechanism utilizes a pin that absorbs blade load and ensures additional stabilization during use, surpassing the performance of the original design.
Featuring an ergonomic handle, the knife is equipped with scales crafted from G10 glass-epoxy composite, which incorporates a non-slip textured surface. A lanyard hole at the base of the grip allows for the attachment of a cord, providing additional security against loss.
The spring clip integrated into the handle guarantees secure, everyday carry by enabling attachment to a belt or pocket edge. Designed for versatility, the clip is reversible and can be installed in a tip-up orientation, accommodating both right- and left-handed users.
