Cold Steel Caledonian CMP 20CV Folding Knife - Black

Everyday carry folding knife designed for EDC (Every Day Carry), measuring a total of 235 mm. Outfitted with a Spear-Point blade crafted from premium CPM 20CV steel, ensuring outstanding toughness along with superior wear and corrosion resistance. The blade features a black PVD coating for minimized glare and enhanced surface protection. Secure handling is provided by a Liner Lock system and robust, black carbon fiber handle scales.

CPM 20CV tool steel

Forged from CPM 20CV tool steel, the blade boasts a 59-61 HRC hardness rating. Enhanced chromium content provides excellent corrosion resistance, while powder metallurgy ensures a refined, consistent microstructure. As a result, the cutting edge holds its sharpness for extended periods and exhibits exceptional abrasion resistance.

Spear-Point blade, PVD coating, jimping

Equipped with a spear-point blade measuring 108 mm in length and 3.8 mm in thickness, the design features a flat grind to deliver outstanding slicing precision and impressive penetration. The blade’s black PVD coating reduces reflection and conceals minor marks. Integrated notched jimping along the spine provides secure thumb placement for enhanced control.

Double-sided thumb stud, Liner lock

The blade features a dual-sided thumb stud for rapid and effortless one-handed deployment, whether operated with the right or left hand. Activation is swift and ambidextrous thanks to the double-sided thumb stud. Once deployed, a Liner Lock mechanism secures the blade in place, ensuring reliable safety during use.

Carbon fiber scales, titanium bolsters

Featuring an ergonomically contoured handle crafted from reinforced carbon fiber and strengthened with titanium bolsters, the design offers exceptional durability. The specialized non-slip texture guarantees a secure and reliable grip.

Steel clip

A resilient steel clip mounted in a tip-up position ensures everyday ease of carry, enabling swift attachment of the knife to your belt or pocket edge.

CPM 20CV feature
CPM 20CV
CPM 20CV is a premium powder metallurgy tool steel with very good corrosion and wear resistance. It contains approximately 1.9% carbon, which allows for high hardness and edge sharpness. The high chromium content (2%) ensures stainless properties. Additionally, it contains: vanadium (4%), molybdenum (1%), tungsten (0.6%), silicon (0.9%), and manganese (0.3%). Thanks to powder technology, the steel has a very fine and homogeneous microstructure, which facilitates easier processing and uniform properties throughout the cross-section. After hardening, it achieves a hardness of 59-61 HRC and retains its sharpness for a long time, which makes it often used in premium knives, EDC, and tools requiring the highest durability.
Carbon Fiber feature
Carbon Fiber
Carbon fiber is a composite material that is exceptionally light and very strong, considered one of the most advanced materials used in knife manufacturing. It is made of thin carbon fibers embedded in epoxy resin, which are then pressed and hardened to form an extremely rigid and resistant structure. Used in knife handles, it provides high resistance to mechanical damage, is not affected by moisture or extreme temperatures, and is chemically inert and non-conductive. It is distinguished by its characteristic layered weave, which gives each handle a unique appearance, particularly valued in premium knives.
PVD - Physical Vapor Deposition feature
PVD - Physical Vapor Deposition
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating is a modern technology for applying ultra-thin layers of metal in a vacuum, which significantly increases the durability of knives. Thanks to this, the blade becomes highly resistant to scratches, abrasion, and corrosion, while gaining a matte surface that reduces glare. This process allows for aesthetic finishes in various colors, from deep black to gold, which do not wear off like classic paint. As a result, the knife retains its great appearance and full functionality even with intensive use.
