Forged from 420J2 stainless steel and hardened to a level of 48-52 HRC, the blade ensures reliable performance in demanding environments. Renowned for its superior corrosion resistance and straightforward machinability, the steel’s reduced carbon content ensures balanced hardness. This composition enhances resistance to cracks and impacts, while also making sharpening fast and uncomplicated.

Included in the set are 3 interchangeable blades featuring Bowie, Wharncliffe, and Hook profiles. Each blade measures 63.5 mm in length and 1.5 mm in thickness, ensuring optimal adjustment of the tool to specific tasks.

Quick change system, modified Tri-Ad Lock

Fitted with a rapid blade replacement system utilizing a modified Tri-Ad Lock mechanism, the knife stands out as an exceptionally versatile tool. Swapping the blade is fast, secure, and requires only a few seconds. For blade removal, engage the lock, gently lift the blade at an angle, and slide it free from the housing. Insert the new blade in the same manner, ensuring it clicks firmly into position.

Ergonomic grip

Constructed from impact-resistant ABS plastic in a distinctive orange hue, the handle enhances durability against mechanical impact. An ergonomic contour and a non-slip surface ensure a secure, comfortable hold during tasks. The integrated finger notch helps prevent accidental hand slippage onto the blade.

Sheath

A rugged sheath ensures easy transport of the knife on a belt. The interior features two compartments designed for secure storage of spare blades.

420J2 steel is a martensitic stainless steel with a lower carbon content, popular in the production of knife components such as scales and springs. It contains between 0.26% and 0.4% carbon, which ensures moderate hardness (52-57 HRC) and ease of machining, while maintaining good elasticity. Chromium (12-14%) gives it very good corrosion resistance. Manganese and silicon improve hardenability and strength, while low sulfur and phosphorus content reduce the brittleness of the material. Despite its lower hardness, this steel still retains its advantages, such as very good corrosion resistance and relatively low processing costs.

Tri-Ad Lock is a lock developed by Cold Steel and Andrew Demko, considered one of the strongest systems in folding knives.
