I expected something a little different. The scales at the bottom of the knife are not rounded and dig into your fingers, and the lock sometimes jams. Maybe it's okay for larger hands. The knife comes factory-sharp, looks nice, and seems solid. I put it in the box and went back to my ZT.
Cold Steel Code 4 Folding Knife Spear Point S35VN
Folding knife designed for everyday carry (EDC). Crafted from S35VN stainless steel, the blade delivers outstanding resistance to corrosion. The handle, made of aluminum, ensures a secure, slip-resistant hold. Ambidextrous deployment is enabled by a dual thumb stud, while the Tri-Ad Lock mechanism guarantees blade security during operation.
S35VN stainless steel
Constructed from S35VN stainless steel (an advanced version of S30V) manufactured through powder metallurgy, the blade offers outstanding corrosion resistance, improved ease of sharpening over S30V, and exhibits superior resistance to chipping due to its finer grain structure.
Spear-Point blade profile, satin finish method
Equipped with a Spear-Point blade profile, the blade measures 89 mm in length and 3.5 mm in thickness. Featuring a satin finish, the blade displays a semi-matte surface that minimizes glare and skillfully conceals marks from daily use.
Tri-Ad Lock system, double-sided thumb stud for opening
In the open position, the blade is locked securely by the Tri-Ad Lock system, an advanced evolution of the classic Back Lock, recognized as one of the toughest locking mechanisms for folding knives. This construction utilizes a stop pin that absorbs force exerted on the blade, redirecting it into the handle frame and significantly reducing wear on the mechanism. The system is engineered to automatically adjust for natural wear, ensuring long-lasting reliability of the lock. Equipped with a double-sided thumb stud, the blade can be swiftly deployed with one hand.
ergonomic handle
Designed with ergonomics in mind, the handle features two anodized aluminum plates in Gun Metal Grey. Its contoured shape safeguards the hand from sliding forward onto the blade. To further enhance a secure grip, the handle spine is equipped with texturing for the thumb. For comfortable daily carry, the handle includes a reversible, spring-steel clip that allows attachment to a pocket edge or gear. The Code 4 model is also fitted with a hole at the rear of the handle, providing the option to thread a lanyard through and help prevent loss.

Sturdy and elegant. Looks beautiful and is extremely strong.
-
I recommend it to all fans of minimalism, very thin, light, and handy. You barely feel you're carrying it in your pants.
-
The knife, apart from being incredibly strong and precisely made from high-quality materials, is simply beautiful.
-
Very elegant knife and on top of that, s35vn! I alternate it with the Recon1.
-
I've been using it for well over a year now, and I can honestly say it's a real workhorse, with a very strong lock and solid steel.
-
The best EDC you can imagine! Super durable with an excellent lock, tanto blade profile that is indestructible... yet thin enough to be comfortable in the pocket. Fits perfectly in hand. Highly recommend 100%.
-
Good quality folder. Very light and holds an edge well. The handle is definitely a plus.
-
The knife looks very nice and the quality of craftsmanship, ergonomics, and materials are top-notch. Great steel, cuts like a razor.
-
Excellent EDC knife. Quite large, but very thin. Practically unnoticeable in a pants pocket. Decent sharpness "out of the box", quite easy to sharpen, and you can make it razor-sharp! I recommend it.
-
All in all, it's already a classic.
-
Comparing the spear point with the clip point, this one definitely looks more aggressive... clip for the pocket, spear for the shelf.
-
I bought it as a gift and it was a hit. Great knife.
-
Excellent folder. Very sharp out of the box. All metal and zero plastic, beautifully finished.
-
This is the kind of knife you'll use all day on wood, meat, cardboard, and then you can take it to the theater, opera, or a wedding and it will fit perfectly with evening attire... The lightness, beautiful handle color, blade sharp enough to shave with—all this creates a very good impression that will amaze any friend who knows a bit about men's gadgets. Essential EDC equipment for every gentleman.
