I expected something a little different. The scales at the bottom of the knife are not rounded and dig into your fingers, and the lock sometimes jams. Maybe it's okay for larger hands. The knife comes factory-sharp, looks nice, and seems solid. I put it in the box and went back to my ZT.
Cold Steel Code 4 Folding Knife Spear Point S35VN
A folding knife for everyday carry (EDC). The blade is made of S35VN stainless steel with high corrosion resistance. The aluminum handle provides a non-slip grip. The knife opens using a double-sided thumb stud, and the Tri-Ad Lock secures the blade during use.
S35VN stainless steel
The blade is made of S35VN stainless steel (the successor to S30V), produced using powder metallurgy - it is characterized by high corrosion resistance, is easier to sharpen than S30V, and, thanks to its finer grain structure, offers even greater resistance to chipping.
Spear-Point blade profile, satin finish method
The Spear-Point blade is 89 mm long and 3.5 mm thick. The blade has been finished using the satin finish method, which gives it a semi-matte texture that reduces light reflections and effectively hides signs of everyday use.
Tri-Ad Lock system, double-sided thumb stud for opening
When open, the blade is secured by the Tri-Ad Lock system, an improved version of the classic Back Lock and considered one of the most durable locking mechanisms in folding knives. The design relies on a stop pin that absorbs the forces acting on the blade and transfers them to the handle body, minimizing wear on the mechanism. The system automatically compensates for natural wear, ensuring the lock remains reliable. The blade features a thumb stud on both sides, allowing for quick, one-handed opening of the knife.
ergonomic handle
The ergonomically contoured handle is made of two aluminum plates, anodized in Gun Metal Gray. The handle’s shape prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade. A knurled section for the thumb on the back of the handle enhances grip. Comfortable, everyday carry is ensured by a repositionable, spring-loaded clip on the handle, which allows the knife to be clipped to the edge of a pocket or other accouterment. In addition, the Code 4 model features a hole at the back of the handle, through which a lanyard can be threaded to prevent it from being lost.

Sturdy and elegant. Looks beautiful and is extremely strong.
-
I recommend it to all fans of minimalism, very thin, light, and handy. You barely feel you're carrying it in your pants.
-
The knife, apart from being incredibly strong and precisely made from high-quality materials, is simply beautiful.
-
Very elegant knife and on top of that, s35vn! I alternate it with the Recon1.
-
I've been using it for well over a year now, and I can honestly say it's a real workhorse, with a very strong lock and solid steel.
-
The best EDC you can imagine! Super durable with an excellent lock, tanto blade profile that is indestructible... yet thin enough to be comfortable in the pocket. Fits perfectly in hand. Highly recommend 100%.
-
Good quality folder. Very light and holds an edge well. The handle is definitely a plus.
-
The knife looks very nice and the quality of craftsmanship, ergonomics, and materials are top-notch. Great steel, cuts like a razor.
-
Excellent EDC knife. Quite large, but very thin. Practically unnoticeable in a pants pocket. Decent sharpness "out of the box", quite easy to sharpen, and you can make it razor-sharp! I recommend it.
-
All in all, it's already a classic.
-
Comparing the spear point with the clip point, this one definitely looks more aggressive... clip for the pocket, spear for the shelf.
-
I bought it as a gift and it was a hit. Great knife.
-
Excellent folder. Very sharp out of the box. All metal and zero plastic, beautifully finished.

This is the kind of knife you'll use all day on wood, meat, cardboard, and then you can take it to the theater, opera, or a wedding and it will fit perfectly with evening attire... The lightness, beautiful handle color, blade sharp enough to shave with—all this creates a very good impression that will amaze any friend who knows a bit about men's gadgets. Essential EDC equipment for every gentleman.
