Great folder for a reasonable price. Quality as expected from CS—very good. Ergonomics and mechanics are excellent on my copy. I think it would put many more expensive folders to shame.
Cold Steel Double Safe Hunter Camo Metal Clip 8Cr13MoV Folding Knife
An EDC folding knife (Every Day Carry) from the Hunter series, modeled after the popular Voyager model. It features a Clip-Point blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. The blade has a satin finish, giving it an attractive semi-matte appearance. The knife opens using a thumb stud on both sides. The Back Lock secures the blade in the open position, and an additional slide lock enhances safety during use. The handle, covered with Real Camo-style camouflage and made of glass-fiber-reinforced nylon (GFN), provides a non-slip grip. A spring-loaded clip allows for comfortable, everyday carry.
8Cr13MoV stainless steel
The blade is made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, which offers a good balance of edge durability, corrosion resistance, and ease of maintenance. After heat treatment, it achieves a hardness of 57–58 HRC, ensuring effective cutting even with heavy use.
Clip-Point Profile Blade, Satining Finish
The blade, with a Clip-Point profile, is 76.2 mm long and 3 mm thick. It features a smooth cutting edge with a high-bevel grind. The blade is finished using a satin finish, which gives it a semi-matte surface, ensuring an attractive appearance and increasing scratch resistance. The blade geometry provides excellent cutting performance while maintaining high strength.
Durable Handle with GFN
The handle scales are made of durable glass-fiber-reinforced nylon (GFN). Thanks to their ergonomic contouring and non-slip texture, they provide a stable and secure grip. The finger groove enhances control over the tool, even with wet or dirty hands.
A spring-loaded clip on the handle ensures comfort during everyday carry, allowing the knife to be clipped to a belt or other accouterments. The clip is reversible and can be mounted to suit both right- and left-handed users. A hole at the end of the handle allows for threading a safety cord or lanyard.
Back Lock with Additional Safety
When open, the blade is locked in place by a classic Back Lock system. An additional safety feature is the sliding lock, which also locks the blade in the closed position, making the knife safe for transport. The blade features a double-sided thumb stud, which allows for quick, one-handed opening of the knife.

GFN (Glass Filled Nylon) is a nylon reinforced with glass fiber, offering low weight, high durability, and resistance to moisture and many chemicals. The material performs exceptionally well in demanding conditions, maintaining its strength even under intensive use. GFN surfaces may be completely smooth or textured to improve grip, providing better control and overall ergonomics. The robustness of GFN handles has made this material a standard in the production of EDC (Everyday Carry) knives as well as lightweight tactical designs.

Lightweight, quite inexpensive, and cuts like a razor.

On a daily basis, I use a much heavier folder, the SR1 Lite, also from CS, so I had to get used to the Hunter. At first, because of the lighter weight and thinner design, it seemed delicate, but after a while I could already tell it’s another solid knife from Cold Steel. Very sharp, and the double locking mechanism gives a complete sense of security. When folded, it doesn’t bother you in your pocket and its weight is hardly noticeable, unlike the SR1, which pulls your pants down.

Good ergonomics and decent mechanics for this price category.

The steel could be a little better, but it's still standard Cold Steel—tough as hell, with great handle ergonomics.

Cold Steel and that says it all. Perfect for EDC, I recommend it.

A very proper design. Cheap and solid construction that allows you to be convinced of Cold Steel knives. Great for EDC, very durable, and its eye-catching colors make it hard to lose. Only advantages for relatively little money. I recommend it!
