The 140 mm long, 4 mm thick blade features a modified Clip-Point profile. It is made of high-quality American CPM S35VN stainless steel, produced using a powder-sintering process, which offers high abrasion resistance and long-lasting sharpness.

The blade features a thumb wheel accessible from both sides, which makes it easy to open the knife with either your right or left hand. In addition, thanks to a specially cutout section, the disc can function like Emmerson’s Wave mechanism—when pulling the knife out, the tab catches on the edge of the pocket, resulting in the blade opening instantly.

In the open position, the blade is locked by a reliable Tri-Ad Lock, which is an advanced version of the Back Lock. Unlike its predecessor, it engages much deeper, and under load, it rests against a pin that limits the blade’s opening, which further stabilizes it. Currently, it is the most reliable and durable locking mechanism used in mass-produced folding knives.

The ergonomically contoured handle consists of an aluminum framework to which black G10 glass-epoxy composite scales are attached with screws. A spring-loaded clip on the handle ensures comfortable everyday carry, allowing the knife to be clipped to a belt or the edge of a pocket.

CPM S35VN is a stainless powder steel developed by Crucible Industries in collaboration with Chris Reeve, used in premium knives. It is an evolution of the popular S30V steel, offering a better balance between wear resistance, stainlessness, and ease of machining. Carbon (approx. 1.4%) is responsible for high hardness, while chromium (approx. 14%) gives the steel very good corrosion resistance, and vanadium (approx. 3%) extends edge life and improves cutting aggression. After hardening, it reaches 58-61 HRC, combining edge durability with fracture resistance. The steel retains its sharpness for a long time and is easy to sharpen, commonly used in EDC, outdoor, tactical, and collector's knives.

Tri-Ad Lock
Tri-Ad Lock is a lock developed by Cold Steel and Andrew Demko, considered one of the strongest systems in folding knives. Its key element is a stop pin, which takes the pressure from the blade and distributes it to the handle, protecting the lock from wear and overload. The mechanism is designed to self-adjust over time, which maintains the reliability of the lock even after prolonged use. In tests, it has proven resistant to loads of up to hundreds of pounds, confirming its durability.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.

    Beauty and the Beast in one. Since 2008, Cold Steel has been making the amazing Espada, which continues to find new fans among knife enthusiasts. The version with G-10 and mirror-polished aluminum bolsters should be in every collection.
