Cold Steel Medieval Training Dagger

Designed for medieval fencing training, this double-edged dagger is crafted entirely from Santoprene rubber, providing a high level of safety during combat practice and sparring sessions. Inspired by historical medieval short weapons referred to in French as quillon, the dagger mirrors designs dating from the mid-13th to the late 14th century. Originally carried by knights and later adopted by civilians, these daggers represent authentic medieval weaponry.

Featuring a double-edged, blunt blade, the design measures 254 mm in length and 19 mm in thickness, crafted from durable Santoprene rubber. A pronounced ridge runs along the center, preserving the blade geometry found in the original artifacts.

Featuring a handle with a 166 mm length, crafted from Santoprene rubber just like the blade, the design incorporates an imitation leather wrap and a braided chain to provide a secure, non-slip grip. The extended cross guard is designed to facilitate parrying incoming strikes, offering additional protection for the fencer's hand. A pommel with a round cross-section, common in the 13th and 14th centuries, sets these daggers apart from other short swords such as the rondel, baselard, or kidney dagger.
