A sturdy and durable survival knife inspired by early 19th-century knives from the small American town of Natchez, Mississippi. The robust Full-Tang construction, with the blade tang extending through the entire handle, ensures reliability in all conditions.

CPM-3V tool steel, curved cutting edge

The Bowie-style blade is 298 mm long and 8 mm thick. It is made of CPM-3V tool steel, which is resistant to cracking and chipping and holds its edge well. The curved cutting edge, deep false edge, and high blade strength ensure that the Natchez will effectively cut, chop, and pierce. The large steel cross guard protects the hand from slipping onto the blade.

Micarta handle

Ergonomically contoured handle scales are made of lightweight and durable black Micarta. The textured surface ensures a secure grip. The handle is finished with a polished stainless steel recoil pad.

Secure-Ex sheath

The set includes a Secure-Ex sheath, which, thanks to its numerous holes and grommets, allows for multi-position attachment to a belt or gear. A snug fit and a snap-fastened loop ensure the knife stays securely in the sheath.

CPM 3V is a premium powder tool steel produced by Crucible Industries, known for its high resistance to impact, fracture, and wear. It contains 0.8% carbon, 7.5% chromium, and additions of molybdenum (1.3%), vanadium (2.75%), manganese (up to 1%), and silicon (up to 1%) additives, which improve wear resistance and structural stability. After heat treatment, it achieves a hardness of 58-61 HRC, providing a balance between strength, durability, and ease of sharpening. Although CPM 3V is not stainless steel, it offers good corrosion resistance and is widely used in the manufacture of military, survival, and hunting knives. It is suitable for intensive use in harsh conditions, combining high wear resistance, better ductility, and longer edge retention compared to other tool steels.

Micarta is a composite material made of layers of fabric (including canvas, linen, and paper) soaked in resin and pressed under high pressure and temperature. It is characterized by high mechanical strength, resistance to impact, abrasion, and changing weather conditions, as well as dimensional stability, which makes it ideal for knife handles. The surface of Micarta provides a secure grip and can be finished smooth or left with a slight texture to improve control over the tool. The material does not conduct heat or electricity, tolerates contact with moisture well, and acquires a characteristic patina over time, emphasizing the individual style of the knife. Thanks to its combination of durability, environmental resistance, and unique appearance, Micarta is widely used in EDC, outdoor, and collector's knives.

    It was supposed to be a knife but I received Hobbit's sword. ???? A piece of solid steel plus the reliable quality of Cold Steel does its job. Beautiful knife. It was worth splurging those coins.

    Hello, I want to say a few words about this wonderful knife and this store, OMG!! This BLADE blew my mind!!! It makes an amazing impression when you take it in your hand. The quality of workmanship and finish, balance, weight, and the materials used (the guard and pommel made of stainless steel and the handle of G10 material) all make the Natchez Bowie CPM 3V knife a sinister and beautiful work of art. The price is quite high, true, 2200 PLN for a Bowie knife is a lot considering how many other and cheaper models are available on the market. However, if you are hesitating whether to buy it or not and you can afford to spend that amount, then I say GO FOR IT, because afterward you will know it was money well spent! As for the store, I must praise militaria.pl for super fast shipping, especially since I paid by online transfer. Usually, it takes longer than a day because the transfer is delayed, or payment isn't registered, etc. we know these stories, but not in this store, my Bowie was there the next day! Less than 24 hours from ordering! I really like this approach :-) Regards and I highly recommend it!!!!
