I have owned this knife for about 6 years. It is used quite intensively in the field kitchen during expeditions, for mushroom picking, and even for moderately heavy camp work like batoning. The handle absorbs shocks well and fits comfortably in the hand, it doesn't slip during use. This is the best knife I've bought for this price, it holds its sharpness for a very long time, practically requires no maintenance, and the sheath holds the knife in place, just as the clip on the belt doesn’t fall off and protects the user. A very well made product. I recommend it.
Cold Steel Peace Maker II 4116 Fixed Blade Knife
A classic fixed-blade knife designed for tactical and survival use. Its compact size allows for easy and discreet carrying, which is why it is often referred to as a boot knife. The Clip-Point blade is made of corrosion-resistant 4116 Krupp steel. The Kray-Ex handle features a non-slip texture that ensures a secure and stable grip. The set includes a Secure-Ex sheath with a steel clip, allowing for comfortable carrying of the knife.
German 4116 Krupp steel
The blade is made of high-quality German 4116 Krupp steel, which has undergone cryogenic hardening, giving it a hardness of 55–57 HRC. This steel, produced by ThyssenKrupp, offers excellent cutting performance, is easy to maintain, and is highly resistant to corrosion.
Clip-Point blade
The smooth blade with a Clip-Point profile is 132 mm long and 3 mm thick. The blade’s design features two different grinds: a Scandinavian grind and a full flat grind. The Scandinavian grind makes resharpening easier and allows for heavier camping tasks. In contrast, the full flat grind ensures comfortable cutting as well as effective piercing without compromising cutting performance.
Kray-Ex handle
The ergonomic handle is made of Kray-Ex plastic with a non-slip texture, ensuring a stable and secure grip, even with wet or dirty hands. The double-sided cross guard effectively prevents fingers from slipping onto the blade, and the hole at the back of the handle allows you to thread a safety cord or lanyard through it.
Secure-Ex system sheath, discreet carrying
The sheath included with the knife in the Secure-Ex system is made of a lightweight, durable, and weather-resistant material. Its precise fit ensures the knife is held securely in place and prevents it from accidentally sliding out. A steel clip allows the sheath to be attached to a belt or other gear, and also enables the knife to be carried discreetly inside the boot shaft.

After a long search, I finally found the perfect knife for mushrooms:) Seriously, it's long enough to be suitable 'just in case', and light enough not to be burdensome. Plus, there's no unnecessary space between the handle and blade, so you don't need to fiddle when cutting the mushroom stem. The sheath is pretty good, you need to shake it hard for the knife to fall out on its own, and since I like to carry knives attached with the blade facing down (clipped to the backpack strap), it suits me perfectly. To sum up: I'm not looking for another mushroom knife, this one is great. PS: It also works well in the kitchen.

After a long search, I finally found the perfect mushroom knife :) Seriously, it's long enough to be useful 'just in case,' yet light enough that it doesn't weigh you down. Also, there's no unnecessary space between the handle and the blade, so you don't have to struggle when cutting the mushroom stem. The sheath is pretty good—you have to shake it hard for the knife to fall out on its own, and since I like to wear knives attached downward (fastened to my backpack strap), it suits me very well. In summary, I'm not looking for another mushroom knife anymore, this one is great, and it even works well in the kitchen too.

Something like an American cousin of Mora, a bit bigger, also sharp and sits well in the hand. The price reduction encouraged me to buy it. The knife will be admired because not many of my countrymen do such work. Knife craze, that's what they call it or something like that...

Quality product at a great price. I recommend it to others as well. Super Cold Steel product.

Why is cheap CS good? Because it is good and cheap.
-
Very good, sharp knife. Fits well in the hand but unfortunately the clip is quite stiff.
-
An excellent knife, cleverly designed, the flat grind performs excellently in retaining sharpness. The only issue is with the sheath, as the handle sticks out too little, but this can be modified.
-
An outstanding knife at a very reasonable price, lightweight, sharp, and handy.
