Another Cold Steel for the collection, I’ve been thinking about buying it for some time but was discouraged by the impracticality of this knife. Honestly, that’s how it is, but it has something that catches the eye and makes you want to buy it. So I bought the S35VN model—of course, it’s good steel, so I don’t worry about retention, the sharpness straight from the box is very good, shaves hair quite impressively. In pictures and videos it looks like a big chunk, but in the hand it’s not heavy, I was actually surprised at how light it is. It decorates the collection and my sister likes it too, bought on sale so it makes even more sense. I recommend it.
Cold Steel Tiger Claw Serrated Karambit S35VN Folding Knife
Folding knife crafted by renowned knifemaker Andrew Demko, drawing inspiration from the iconic karambit style. Featuring a blade constructed from S35VN steel, it is complemented by a black handle made from G10 laminate for enhanced grip security. A double-sided disc enables swift deployment of the blade, while the Tri-Ad Lock mechanism ensures reliable locking during operation.
chip-resistant S35VN steel
Featuring a serrated blade crafted from American S35VN steel, utilizing advanced powder metallurgy processes—renowned for superior corrosion resistance, easier sharpening when compared to S30V, and increased toughness against edge chipping due to a finer grain structure.
blade opened with a disc
Measuring 76 mm in length and 3.5 mm in thickness, the blade features a double-sided disc on the spine, enabling smooth one-handed opening with either the right or left thumb. The disc also allows for rapid deployment by catching on the edge of a pocket, much like knives utilizing Emmerson's "wave" technology.
Tri-Ad Lock
With the blade deployed, the knife features a Tri-Ad lock, an advanced version of the traditional back lock. Recognized as one of the most robust and reliable locking mechanisms for folding knives, the Tri-Ad lock in this model has been enhanced to allow easy unlocking with the thumb.
G10 laminate
The handle features scales crafted from robust G10 glass-epoxy laminate. Designed with ergonomic contours, its non-slip surface and generous finger ring ensure an exceptionally secure hold.
springy clip
A spring-loaded clip on the handle guarantees secure and comfortable daily carry, enabling the knife to be fastened to a belt or the edge of a pocket. The clip is designed to be installed on either the left or right side of the handle.

Great knife for carrying in the left pocket as support for the right hand. Thanks to the karambit ring, you can draw it instantly by putting your fourth finger through the ring and pulling it "to the back"—this way the blade is positioned in the classic, usable position, not the reverse like in typical karambits. This significantly increases the tool’s functionality in everyday use. S35VN steel – very good quality, excellent edge retention, and corrosion resistance. The serrated blade deals perfectly with fibrous materials, seat belts, ropes, fabrics – it solves the situation with a single cut. As always, a dedicated Lansky sharpener works well for sharpening the serrations. The handle (G10) holds in hand very well – a secure grip even with gloves or when wet. The construction is solid, as expected from Cold Steel, and the Tri-Ad Lock provides safety for aggressive cutting. In current times, I recommend this knife as a tactical backup for daily EDC. Small, lightweight, but very capable.

Good knife: slim, thickness comparable to Cold Steel Hold Out 3 or American Lawman, which makes it easily disappear in the pocket, although the large "silver" clip unnecessarily attracts attention. The blade shape means that even gently dragging it across the surface of a material—the knife penetrates it like a plow in the ground, making the knife, aside from self-defense, work well for smaller technical tasks. The combination of the backspacer with the ring and the thumb plate allows you to efficiently open the knife on the pocket edge even while drawing (the thumb plate serves the same function as the "Emerson opener" in knives of other brands). A knife worth considering.

Beast. The karambit is very well made. The perfect tool for cutting cardboard. I recommend it to those who are undecided.
