When I took it in my hand I was pleasantly surprised—the knife is lightweight, and even though the handle is made of plastic, its thickness gives it the feel of a solid knife. The thick blade also seems decent, and the lock clicks nicely into place. I haven't tested it yet, but I can say that it's very sharp out of the box.

The carbon content (0.95-1.1%) ensures high hardness, while chromium (13-14.5%) guarantees very good corrosion and abrasion resistance. The steel also contains manganese (up to 1%), silicon (up to 1%), phosphorus (up to 0.025%), and sulfur (up to 0.025%), which affect hardenability, impact strength, elasticity, and machinability, improving structural stability and maintaining mechanical properties. The knife is very solid and durable. I've had it for about eight years and I'm very satisfied with it. The construction is very strong and practically failsafe. The lock is great.

I won't be original: great workhorse! If you like to click a knife while watching survival movies, etc., I get it, but there are more fun knives to click. The materials aren't the top of the line, the knife is quite large, ugly, and not the lightest. But: if you need a knife and a fixed blade isn't quite OK (for various reasons), you're left with a folder and you need to do work that most folders can't handle—get the Voyager. The materials it's made from aren't top notch, sure, but they're good. Griv-Ex feels like plastic, true, but it's incredibly durable. The Aus10 steel isn't S30V, but it sharpens more easily, quickly, and holds an edge only a bit less. The blade doesn't run on bearings, just brass washers, so opening is slower, but it boosts the knife's resistance to dirt and jamming. The handle's ugliness is directly proportional to its comfort and safety. The Tri-Ad Lock is simple as a stick, ambidextrous as a stick, and strong as a stick. It makes the folder into a fixed blade, so you'll never see blade play. Despite the size, the knife is quite light and well-balanced! All in all, the whole thing is so functional and idiot-proof, it's a shame and hard to mess up. Someone didn't let hungover Taiwanese workers sleep on the job, so the Taiwan build is flawless. The knife's design wasn't done by great (read: expensive!) designers, just two people who really know blades: Lynn Thompson and Andrew Demko. And here we are: a successful final product. Big knife. You can feel the power ;) If someone doesn't like this type, stay away ;) The lock holds well. The handle is very light but fits well in the hand. I haven’t mastered closing the knife with one hand yet... if it’s possible at all ;) Cold Steel is known for its tough knives, so not much to add... I recommend it and greetings.

I bought the knife more out of curiosity than necessity. Strange but intriguing, not very handsome, but it's probably the strongest folding knife I've had. I don't know if that's important, as after dozens of years using weaker folders, they never failed me in standard tasks. As they say, it has a “power reserve,” though I'm not entirely sure what that reserve is for. Despite its large size and deep finger grooves, it's surprisingly comfortable to hold in grips other than the one suggested by its shape, which I really appreciate. The liners are aluminum, fully hidden in the FRN scales. The scales are highly textured, very aggressive, you could almost use them as an improvised grater for potatoes. And here, unfortunately, is a significant problem: the clip is very strong and combined with the deep, sharp texture of the handle, it's basically useless. You can forcefully attach and remove it from the pocket, etc., but it's guaranteed to shred your material quickly. Modification is necessary—like filing down the structure under the clip or covering it (maybe with epoxy resin?). Or just carry it in a sheath, loose in your pocket, or a pouch. Interesting equipment, but probably too large and hefty for city EDC. Brand quality is guaranteed.

I'm waiting for a warmer season to try this knife outdoors. During kitchen tests, it works quite well, although it's hard to slice thinly with the thick blade (Opinel and similar are better here). AUS-10 blade steel is essentially AUS-8 in practice; you won’t notice the difference. Great shaping of the large handle, which, however—despite the aggressive Zytel texture—can get slippery with dirty hands outdoors. The folder is relatively large, which may not be to everyone’s liking. In the city, smaller knives are better.

For me, this model is perfect. For people working with their hands, everything moves smoothly and easily, but with just the right amount of resistance (not too much, not too little). Opening with the thumb stud or by inertia with a quick wrist flick is a pleasure. It makes no difference whether you use your right or left hand. Great blade for many tasks. Comes in handy around the house, great for camping, and it's perfect for trips into the woods – it's enough. Batoning – no problem. Scraping, removing bark, precise cuts – it can handle it all. Size in the pocket – no problem.
