Folding knife crafted by Kit Carson, featuring a blade with a Tanto profile made from D2 tool steel known for its exceptional abrasion resistance. The blade is treated with a Black Stonewash finish, offering a non-reflective matte appearance that also enhances durability.

Smooth, rapid deployment is delivered by the IKBS ball-bearing system, allowing one-handed opening via the ambidextrous thumb stud or flipper, which doubles as a crossguard to prevent the hand from slipping onto the blade. An internal spring-based Assisted Opening mechanism ensures the blade opens swiftly and effortlessly. The proven Deadbolt lock system secures the blade firmly in place when open, providing reliable safety and strength.

Handle scales are ergonomically contoured and constructed from robust black aluminum. A steel clip (tip-up/r) enables convenient carry, allowing secure attachment to a belt, pocket, or gear.

I bought it about 2 years ago, and the knife's workmanship is top-notch, the blade holds firmly with no play whatsoever, either vertically or horizontally, and that's for the pros—now for the subjectively felt downsides: opening with the flipper requires overcoming a pretty strong resistance. For its size, the knife is quite heavy. In addition, this is the most uncomfortable knife I own—due to the short handle plus guard/flipper, I feel cramped holding it, and on top of that, the clip on the handle digs into my hand. All of this makes it an impractical knife for me, which is a shame because it's extremely well made and, in my opinion, very attractive, with a military look.

A timeless design that I really like. Personally, I think D2 steel performs better than MagnaCut. As for the size, I recommend purchasing the larger model in the tanto shape. However, the new lock unfortunately does not work well; the button is very small and it's difficult to operate, plus the assisted opening spring makes it hard to close the knife with one hand.
