Defcon 5 Gen III Parka Jacket - Black

A multi-season parka-style tactical jacket in black with an extended fit, designed for users carrying out tasks in demanding weather conditions and low temperatures. The jacket is made from 3-layer polyamide fabric with a PTFE coating and fitted with a detachable fleece liner, allowing it to be used in a 3-in-1 system. The model features a dual-hood system and has a military NATO stock number (NSN/NUC).

The construction is based on durable three-layer polyamide fabric with a PTFE coating. The outer fabric is highly resistant to abrasion, tearing and mechanical damage typical of field operations. The integrated PTFE layer creates a tight barrier against rain, snow and wind, while also allowing excess moisture and heat to escape efficiently during exertion. All fabric joins are secured with sealing HS seam tape, which effectively prevents water from penetrating through the seams.

Thermal insulation is provided by a detachable 450 g/m2 fleece sweatshirt, attached inside the jacket with a zipper. The dense fleece effectively retains warmed air, protecting against chilling in low temperatures. The modular design allows the set to be used in three different configurations: a complete parka with the liner attached in winter conditions, the rain jacket alone on warmer rainy days, and the fleece sweatshirt on its own in moderate weather.

The jacket is equipped with 6 practical pockets:

• 2 shoulder pockets on the outer jacket closed with velcro flap closures, intended for small accessories and documents,
• 2 hip pockets on the outer jacket covered with slanted flaps, allowing convenient carrying of equipment and warming of the hands,
• 2 side pockets in the fleece liner closed with zippers.

The outer jacket is fitted with a dual-hood system, which includes a fixed hood for rain protection and an enlarged detachable hood. The additional hood with a stiffened visor and circumference adjustment is designed to fit ballistic helmets and protective helmets comfortably. The cuffs of the outer jacket have circumference adjustment by means of velcro tabs. The lower edge of the fleece sweatshirt is fitted with an elastic cord with cord lock, allowing precise adjustment to the body and protecting against cool air blowing underneath, while its sleeves are finished with elastic cuffs.

The main fastening is a robust YKK two-way zipper sewn in along the full length of the jacket. The zipper is covered by a wide external windproof strip fastened with durable snaps, which eliminates draughts and water ingress. In the middle of the strip there is a vertical shoulder mark fastened with a snap, used for attaching a shoulder mark with military or service rank insignia.

Velcro panels intended for customization have been placed on the garment. On the flaps of both shoulder pockets of the outer jacket there are velcro panels facilitating the attachment of unit patches, flags or Morale Patches emblems. The fleece liner on the chest features rectangular velcro panels adapted for attaching name tapes, insignia and service markings.
