Delta Optical Forest Gen3 Binoculars 10x50

Binoculars with a 50 mm objective lens diameter and fixed 10x magnification, belonging to the third generation of models in the Forest series. The design is based on a roof prism system made of BaK4 glass with phase correction, ED glass lenses and multi-coated FBMC anti-reflective coatings. Large objective lenses, a 5 mm exit pupil, nitrogen filling and a magnesium-aluminium alloy body create a model intended for observing nature, wildlife, landscapes and distant objects, also in lower light conditions.

ergonomic body with rubber coating, waterproof design

The binocular body is made of a magnesium-aluminium alloy and is based on a compact Roof prism design, which makes it possible to maintain a slim profile. The interpupillary distance adjustment range is 57-76 mm. The housing is covered with a soft non-slip rubber coating with a non-slip texture, which serves both a protective and shock-absorbing function. The binoculars are equipped with a convenient central focus adjustment mechanism, which allows quick switching from observing nearby objects to those at a great distance.

Twist-up eyecups increase comfort of use and help maintain the correct eye position in relation to the eyepiece. Dioptre adjustment in the right eyepiece allows precise image adjustment to the observer's individual needs. The binoculars are equipped with a standard 1/4" tripod thread, enabling mounting on a tripod using a suitable binocular adapter. The binoculars are waterproof to IPX7 level and are also equipped with nitrogen filling protecting against fogging, which makes it possible to carry out observations also in adverse weather conditions.

BaK-4 prisms, ED lenses, FBMC coating

The objective lenses are made of ED glass. This material is used to reduce chromatic aberration, that is coloured fringes visible on high-contrast edges. The result is a clearer image and more faithful colour reproduction of observed objects.

The model uses an optical system based on BaK-4 prisms made of barium crown glass. They are characterised by a high refractive index, which makes it possible to obtain a sharp, bright and well-contrasted image with minimal chromatic aberration. Thanks to good light transmission, these prisms perform particularly well in low-light conditions. The lenses and eyepieces are coated with multi-coated FBMC anti-reflective coatings, which limit light loss and reduce unwanted reflections. As a result, the image is characterised by high contrast, natural colour reproduction and better clarity.

Thanks to the 5 mm exit pupil the binoculars also perform well during observations carried out at dusk or in limited light conditions. The angular field of view is 6,5 degrees, which corresponds to a field of view of 114 m at a distance of 1000 m.

case included

The set includes a case made of durable synthetic material with increased resistance to abrasion and moisture, which ensures effective protection of the binoculars during transport and storage. In addition, the binoculars are equipped with an adjustable neck strap, allowing comfortable and secure carrying of the equipment during field observations.

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Delta Optical.

Delta Optical is a Polish company founded in 1989 by optics enthusiasts. Today, the brand is one of the leading manufacturers of binoculars, riflescopes, and telescopes in Europe, and its equipment is used by travelers, hunters, astronomers, and mountain rescuers from TOPR. Delta Optical works with respected partners such as Pulsar, Pentax, and William Optics, offering a wide range of products valued by both professionals and enthusiasts of nature or sky observation. The company continuously develops its solutions, introducing innovations that improve comfort and precision of use. Delta Optical telescopes have been used many times during public astronomy shows in Poland, and thanks to the brand's support, thousands of people were able to see Saturn's rings or the surface of the Moon for the first time.

BaK-4 feature
BaK-4
BaK-4 are high-end prisms made of Barium Crown glass, containing barium oxide. They are used in advanced optics such as binoculars, telescopes and finders, where image quality is crucial. BaK-4 glass is characterized by a high refractive index, resulting in a sharp, bright and well-contrasted image with minimal chromatic aberration. With excellent light transmission, these prisms perform particularly well in low-light conditions.
ED Lenses feature
ED Lenses
ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses are optical elements made of low-dispersion glass, used in high-end optical devices. Their main function is to reduce chromatic aberration, which is the splitting of light manifested by colored borders around contrasting objects. With ED lenses, the image is clearer, sharper and has better color reproduction - especially at the edges of the field of view and when observing high-contrast objects.
