Delta Optical Forest Gen3 Binoculars 12x50

Binoculars with a 50 mm objective lens diameter and fixed 12x magnification, belonging to the third generation of models in the Forest series. The design uses a roof BaK4 prism system with phase correction, ED glass lenses and FBMC multi-coated anti-reflective coatings. The wide objective lenses, twilight factor of 24.5 and a nitrogen-filled housing made of a magnesium-aluminium alloy make this model intended primarily for observing distant objects, nature, landscapes and open areas.

The binocular body is made of a magnesium-aluminium alloy and is based on a compact Roof prism design, which helps maintain a slim profile. The interpupillary distance adjustment range is 57-76 mm. The housing is covered with a soft anti-slip rubber coating with a non-slip texture, which serves both a protective and shock-absorbing function. The binoculars are equipped with a convenient central focus adjustment mechanism, which allows quick switching from observing nearby objects to those at a great distance.

Twist-up eyecups increase comfort of use and help maintain the correct eye position relative to the eyepiece. Dioptre adjustment in the right eyepiece allows precise image adjustment to the observer's individual needs. The binoculars are equipped with a standard 1/4" tripod thread, enabling mounting on a tripod using a suitable binocular adapter. The binoculars are waterproof to IPX7 level and are equipped with nitrogen filling to protect against fogging, which allows observation also in adverse weather conditions.

The objective lenses are made of ED glass. This material is used to reduce chromatic aberration, that is coloured fringing visible on high-contrast edges. The result is a clearer image and more faithful colour reproduction of the observed objects.

The model uses an optical system based on BaK-4 prisms made of barium crown glass. They are characterised by a high refractive index, which makes it possible to obtain a sharp, bright and well-contrasted image with minimal chromatic aberration. Thanks to good light transmission, these prisms perform particularly well in low-light conditions. The lenses and eyepieces are coated with FBMC anti-reflective multi-coatings, which limit light loss and reduce unwanted reflections. As a result, the image is characterised by high contrast, natural colour reproduction and better clarity.

The exit pupil has a diameter of 4.2 mm, and the twilight factor is 24.5. The higher twilight factor associated with 12x magnification increases comfort when observing distant objects in fading light conditions. The angular field of view is 5.3 degrees, which corresponds to a field of view of 93 m at a distance of 1000 m.

The set includes a case made of durable synthetic material with increased resistance to abrasion and moisture, which provides effective protection for the binoculars during transport and storage. Additionally, the binoculars are equipped with an adjustable neck strap, enabling comfortable and secure carrying of the equipment during field observation.
