This hat made a very good impression on me for several reasons. First, I had no idea before that there was a specialized Helikon Direct Action line aimed more at military use. Second, it uses Polartec, a material I already know very well from other products and truly value. Third, the Polartec used here is the thinnest I have encountered so far. Thanks to this, the hat is very simple, highly flexible and, when needed, can cover the entire ears, while at the same time fitting the head very well and adapting nicely to its shape. When wearing it, you can practically not feel it at all — it is light, soft and comfortable even after many hours of continuous use. I chose it mainly for trekking in the warmer months, especially in the mountains in changeable weather, when I use it interchangeably with a baseball cap, and in this role it performs excellently. It is also important that it does not cause overheating. It provides sufficient insulation, so I am convinced that it will also cope well in a milder winter. The size is universal and it fits my head with a circumference of 56 cm perfectly. However, I have doubts whether it will be suitable for people with a larger head circumference — in my opinion it may be too small. I definitely recommend this product as very functional and made to a high standard.
