The backpack is fantastic, the stitching and materials are top-notch (so is the price!), a great addition to the Direct Action Halifax backpack because not all side pouches from other manufacturers fit – for example, the Wisport Sparrow doesn't fit and I had to return it. Unfortunately, the price is steep, but there aren't many options. Generally, given the price, it's something to consider, but I'm satisfied.
Direct Action Spitfire MK II Backpack 12 l - Shadow Grey
The tactical backpack offers a 12-liter capacity and enables direct integration with the Spitfire tactical vest. Constructed from rugged and abrasion-resistant 500D Cordura and laminate, it ensures ample space for transporting and organizing essential gear.
MOLLE system, velcro panel on the front
A spacious main compartment is secured with a two-way zipper. On the front, a dedicated pocket offers storage for smaller gear, while two side pockets provide space for carrying a water bottle or similar items. Inside the main compartment, there is an extra zippered pocket for additional organization. The front is equipped with a velcro panel, perfect for attaching emblems like national flags, unit insignia, or Morale Patches. Compatibility extends to Direct Action Spitfire MK II and Spitfire Plate Carrier vest systems.

Adjustable suspenders ensure a customizable fit for the user. Side zippers provide rapid and straightforward connection to a tactical vest. Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
YKK zippers are high-quality zippers commonly used in clothing and accessories, manufactured by the Japanese YKK Corporation - one of the world's largest zipper manufacturers.
MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system for attachment of tactical equipment, used for example in backpacks or tactical vests. It provides the possibility of flexible and modular placement of various accessories and pockets, which allows personalization and optimal adjustment of the item to the specific needs of the user. It is widely used by the military, special services and survival and outdoor enthusiasts.
LCS (Laser Cut System) is a new version of the assembly used in the MOLLE system, where instead of traditional tapes, laser-cut holes are used directly in the material. The system is much lighter than standard sewn-on PALS tapes and guarantees better camouflage. The holes are hemmed with thread to prevent fuzzing and ripping, or, as in the case of Cordura, the laser-cut edges are fused.

Good quality backpack. A very convenient solution for use with a plate carrier, because wearing a backpack with straps on a plate carrier is just very uncomfortable. I recommend buying comfort pads for the Spitfire vest.

The backpack is good, even though it's 12L, the design and additional pockets definitely increase its functionality and features, but there is one major downside. If you decide to attach it to a plate carrier, the YKK zippers are plastic and not very durable. Basically, while pushing through branches, the backpack got caught on a thin one and the zipper simply broke when I didn’t stop walking, and I only realized something was loose after a few hours. So that's a plus and a minus.
