MultiCam represents an advanced camouflage design created in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) under the Objective Force Warrior project. Designed to provide adaptable concealment across multiple types of terrain and fluctuating environmental conditions, MultiCam incorporates a palette of seven colors which blend seamlessly together, forming transitional gradients among green, brown, and beige hues. Such a composition allows the pattern to effectively integrate into various surroundings, reflecting more greens in wooded landscapes or adopting browns and beiges in arid, desert-like areas—performing exceptionally well in Central and Eastern Europe during autumn or in regions with dry vegetation. MultiCam has achieved international acclaim and sees extensive use among military forces and special operations units worldwide. In 2010, the pattern became the official camouflage for US Army personnel deployed in Afghanistan, superseding the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Civilian availability of the pattern has made it a favored option for military simulation and airsoft enthusiasts alike.
