MultiCam represents an advanced camouflage design, introduced in 2002 by the American firm Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. In Central and Eastern European areas, especially during autumn or among dried vegetation, the pattern demonstrates exceptional performance. The broad utility of MultiCam has led to global usage among military forces and elite units. In 2010, the US Army officially selected this camouflage for deployment in Afghanistan, replacing the older Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP).
