I recommend the Esee Junglas II to anyone looking for a sturdy tool for forest expeditions. The knife chops and batons really well. A solid piece of equipment (21.5 cm blade and 560 grams weight). Batoning logs and chopping birch and beech trees up to 15 cm in diameter is no problem for it, and it's very well balanced, so you can also use it in the kitchen or for whittling sticks. Out of the box, the knife shaves the whole forearm. Honestly, it's like a small hatchet. It bites eagerly into wood, cutting 3-4 cm branches with a single strike. The sheath is made of real Kydex, not cheap plastic like the competition, plus sturdy nylon. The whole thing is made in the USA. For smaller tasks, I recommend getting the smaller Esee Izula or the Esee Avispa folder. Highly recommended, it's the best knife I've ever had in my life.
