A German-made everyday carry (EDC) folding knife from Böker, crafted by renowned knifemaker Alessandra De Santis, also known as Hydra Design.

Equipped with a tanto-style blade, the knife is constructed from premium D2 tool steel. The blade ensures excellent abrasion resistance and good protection against corrosion, complemented by a durable black coating.

Featuring a flipper for quick and easy deployment, which also serves as a guard to prevent the hand from slipping onto the blade. A robust liner lock mechanism secures the blade safely in place when open.

Ergonomic handle liners made from G10, a fiberglass laminate set in epoxy resin, deliver outstanding resilience against impacts, chemicals, and extreme temperatures, while remaining non-conductive. The scales’ honeycomb texture enhances grip security, and a striking red aluminum spacer adds a distinctive color accent.

Carrying is convenient with a tip-up clip for attaching the knife to a belt or pocket edge. Additional features include a built-in glass breaker and a lanyard hole.

A nylon sheath is supplied for secure storage and effortless portability.

A big, solid performer but not without flaws. The jimping on the lock is definitely too aggressive, so if you grip tightly it can dig into your fingers. The addition of the tungsten glass breaker wasn't really necessary, but that's a minor detail. The design is well thought out stylistically, probably the only one close to the Hecate. So far, after two months, there hasn't been any rust on the blade, so maybe the coating really works, but it's still worth considering oiling the blade.

Very nice project, but... it has a few flaws, which don't affect its functionality but spoil its image. The coating on the blade and clip is just regular paint, which comes off with exposure to fresh air. My piece also had a chipped tip on the backspacer. Bad luck. Despite this, I recommend the knife, it's a good workhorse.

Quite a large knife with a 'brutal' appearance, designed by a woman. The scale is rough and rustles under the fingers. The liner is stiff and sharp, which causes thumb pain after several uses, but it holds solidly. Factory sharp. Dimensions match the description. Looks solid. The blade doesn't open completely, like on knives without bearings. Might appeal to some, and I didn't find the word 'China' anywhere.

Great knife, another Boker in my collection. Very pleasing to the eye. I haven't had a tanto in a long time and I admit that this blade profile is very useful, and combined with D2 steel, you really have a great knife. It’s quite massive, I also have the AK 74 model and the difference in size is noticeable, but for me, that’s a plus. For now, the Yokai remains my favorite EDC.

My first women's project in 50 years. And she knows how to design tactical knives! The handle fits phenomenally securely (milled G10) in all grips and reverse grips, with a lovely red accent for the elegant ones :). The blade is strong, not an exaggerated modern tanto, with excellently chosen bevels (it penetrates like the devil, one move after sticking it along the blade and it’s free). Curious flipper, you press like an automatic, you don’t pull and it works. Delicacies for white weapon enthusiasts. I recommend it.

Large, comfortable, factory sharp. The lock works smoothly and lightly.

The whole design looks very interesting, the scales are excellently made, those honeycomb grips are really grippy and it’s actually a bit hard to open but that's not a problem. For me, the blade could be 1 cm longer, and this price for D2. I RECOMMEND.

Interesting knife. Quite big and hefty. For some, that could be a minus, for others a plus. Good workmanship and materials. Nice appearance. Opening requires some strength and skill. Hard to find. Disappears from offers quickly. At this price, worth it. I recommend.
