Very well-made buckle. Solid, low-profile, good latch operation. The locking mechanism used is a very good idea, although with a buckle of this size, it's hard to talk about accidental release. However, for a buckle with such a thoughtful design and patent-applied lock, the lack of locking teeth is a misunderstanding. I bought the buckle for the Mystery Ranch waist bag - the large 8-liter one. The straps on the buckle slide without any restriction. I had to use additional inserts to prevent the strap from moving freely. In my opinion, the product is suitable for thick straps with a porous structure. Most products with straps this wide, however, use thin materials to reduce weight, which will require additional solutions to eliminate the easy slippage. Overall, the product is worth attention.
