Well, I don't really know whether the problem is with the spring or the 'chamber' mechanism, but indeed the pellet can sometimes 'stay' in the chamber, so the gas is released for nothing. After tilting the gun down and lightly pulling the trigger, you can hear when the BB is properly loaded, but that's not always the case.

Unfortunately, these magazines have a weak spring and they tend to get stuck, but it can be fixed.
